I've read all the anti Taarabt comments and how much the team should be changed. I think sometimes we read too much into a game like the second half against Spurs and how much better we played without him, but thats down to Spurs taking the foot off the pedal. Of course he is low on confidence, but think this is a game he could shine in. Do think case for playing Barton in the middle, where he is so much more effective.

I agree but we need a bit of creativity to unlock that City defence because there is no doubt in my mind they WILL score so we obviously need to score and think we will struggle with the old route one against Kompany and the Klingon

This one for me, Tarbs is just too unreliable and you can't be carrying anyone against City. De Jong and Yaya will be all over him so best leave him on the bench and bring him on if we have a chance of getting a result.

I'm trying not to look at their team too much as its actually pretty freightening.

On the basis he has not managed to do that much in 11 games so far this season, what makes you think he will be able to do it against the best/meanest defences/midfields in the league.

No Taarabt please. NOT the type of game where we can afford to give away the ball cheaply.

We won't see much of the ball, so we are gonna need players who are up for chasing down their players and using their heads when we have possession.

Same team that started the 2nd half against Spurs for me. Maybe Derry instead of Mackie would be my only change.

I think Mackie could be very useful playing left mid as Richards has been fantastic so I think if he sticks to him like Shoite to a blanket he might make mistakes.
