He wasn't valued at that in the summer. It was all speculation fuelled by places like this and the BS spewing from Tango & Cash in order to get maximum money for the club. If he was, why would Warnock have said that if we'd have sold him to PSG, after Spurs' sell-on cut, we'd have been left with "virtually nothing"? Also, one reasonable game in 10 doesn't make a spring.

3 years is a long time in football. Enough to get you relegated to the bottom tier - and I don't think that there are many Rangers fans who wouldn't swap Parker for Adel. And as has been said - value is what someone is willing to pay, and IMO the Carrol deal was pretty outrageous - certainly not inline with the dealings over the last transfer window.

My opinion Mason, as yours is £3.33M apparently.

I gave my justifications as to why i say hes worth that earlier; he is 21 and absolutley tore the Championship apart last year (promotion from which is worth £90M I believe). Surely a player that can provide you with nearly 20 goals and an equal amount of assists to help you to promotion to the PL is worth a whole lot more than £3M?

I would say £3 - £5M.

I bought shares in the best performing company in the FTSE last year and at today's value, I have lost 52% of my investment and the moral of the story is just because they were worth X last year, means nothing this year. A football player and managers value rises and falls based on their recent performances, much in the same way shares do.

Fair play mate, valid point. And tbf, the longer Adel fails to impress in the PL i think the quicker my personal valuation of him will drop. But at the mo im stil have holding out hope he will find his feet.

Seven days a week mate. But thats not the point, the point was how much he was valued this summer - and my guess was around £9-10m

Some people are talking of £1m?! really? unreal.
Scotty Parker went for 5.5 because he's 31 and he can't be tied down into a long term contract like a young 21/22 yo old could - like Adel.
Walcott was tied to a near 9 year contract at Arsenal - that rocketed his valuation.

AT is 22. He is tied to us until 2013 I believe? this will have a break out clause etc.

The value of a player nowadays isn't just about their performance on the pitch: need to take into account potential revenue, breakout clauses, international appearances etc.

He's 10m and not a penny shy.

we will still get 5 or 6 million for him guarenteed not good enough the top flight football in this country, would maybe look **** hot in the french top flight cash in now and buy a quality striker.
