This team. I would say buz for mackie but there's more chance of me playing

why drop the iceman he has played well in his last few games!

Cause we are one dimensional, predictable and create very little with HH up front.

Give him his dues re the pen against Chelsea and the goal against Blackburn. And his workrate/ariel ability is all very good.

But he never offers or shows to feet. So he cannot bring SWP/Tarbs and Barton etc into the game. Because of this we struggle to create anything. Chelsea/Blackburn and the 1st half yesterday. Balls are just lumped and HH wins the flick and it rolls through to the keeper.

Look at the second half yesterday though. Jay held it up and brought SWP/Barton and Mackie into the game and we looked so much more dangerous and created a few chances. Same with Newcastle/Wolves and Villa. We could have won all those games by 5 or 6 if you look at the chances we created by holding the ball up front and finding our skillful players with balls to feet.

If we play one striker it has to be Bothroyd. Granted he is no goal machine but the more chances we create the more we are likely to score.

First half Derry and Mackie will be running all over the park fighting for every ball and will be knackered for the second half. I think Adel would be good as an impact sub. Just my opinion.

Paul masons team. Thought bothroyd looked much happier playing behind helguson. He's more important than Taarabt at the moment. His height gives us another dimension.

Cant help but think this side, for all its technical ability, might lack abit of pace? Would do a job vs some sides in the division, but City play at a high tempo and so we would probably get caught out.
