You change your tune every week mate. One minute we're fodder, then we're amazing, and now we're punching above our weight. Talk about keeping your options spread, haha.
    Your mum would love me...

Wigan also smaller I'd reckon and Blackburn were nothing before Jack Walker's millions, but you do have a point.

Just look at Spurs bench today, Gallas, Defoe, Pavelachenko, Bassong, Santos, ALL would start for us if they were our players.
First half we were like scared Rabbits and looked like a Championship side but 2nd half I was proud as punch of the way we took the game to Spurs and had SWP's shot just fallen a few feet nearer to Mackie then we would have been level at 2 -2. As it was Bale scored a wonderful 3rd and that was that but we still went for it.
I was sat with Spurs fans who were all having bets at HT as to how many it would be but all said we were the better side 2nd half and could have done the unthinkable until Bale rescued them.
Play like we did 2nd half and we will stay up without doubt.
But in answer to your question, without doubt some fans are too expectant, we played a very good Spurs side today and rattled them 2nd half.

What really annoys me are the few who claim to be so proud because we made a match of it in the 2nd half today, battered in the 1st half ,2-0 down and our MOM our goalie, but we showed some bottle and fight in the 2nd half so some are proud, surely be to god we should expect this,we are a premiership team with some very good players, not a crap league 1 team anymore.I'm not proud, disappointed with 1st half and they preformed as they should have in the 2nd half but Spurs well deserved their win,the better team

Put some perspective on it, with the players Spurs have they should be beating us comfortably at home, every single Spurs player would get into our side ahead of our players. So I was extremely proud of the way we came back at Spurs and gave them a game 2nd half, we are a side who will be in a relegation struggle this season. For all the passion and commitment you can not beat sheer quality of Bale, Parker, Modric, King, Walker, Adeybayor and to be overun by a side containing these players is not going to be unusal.
Yes I expect commitment and bottle but compared to Spurs resources there is no way we will match them for quality over 90 mins, unfortunately.

Not over expecting. I expected to get beat today just like I am next weekend. We have no god given right to stay in the Premiership but I do think we have enough, more even than a few other clubs in this division in terms of quality to stay up. What I do expect is my team to go out there each week and give it a go. That never occurred today on the first half and we just rolled over and tickled Tottenham's bum where as in the 2nd half we competed as I expected. They are an excellent side take nothing away from them and they will take the sc.um and Liverpool all the way for 3rd spot this season. You say we expect too much and that you're a realist, when the only thing I see is you changing your tune each week when it suits you! I expect 17th nothing more and honestly nothing less. If we fail it's our own fault no one elses!

The way they played in the first half was not a shock to me. Lucky to be only 2-0 down. Using all the subs at half time to me is still odd. Much better 2nd but still a long way off the game. Came away with nothing and thats not good.

Chelsea win was one of thos bad day at the office for Chelsea and because it was a West-London Deby, we put our best to win. Be realstic. Our target is to beat the likes of Swanea, Nowrich, Blackurn, Wigan, WBA, etc to avoid relegation and build on that next season.
