Lets hope we are not to far behind in january.

First out the door taarabt, you cannot win games fielding 10 men each week.
think you are about right there Brian, super effort 2nd half but always thought Spurs had another gear, Bale simply world class

Yes we were outclassed in the first half..but in the second the formation was right and the players were playing in the right postions..with a bit more composure in front of goal we could have got something.

It was a game of two halves!!!!

Played with some pride and guts in the 2nd half and can hold their heads up after that effort.

        What's happened to Adel?

Don't think we were outclassed at all. We held our own in the 2nd half, plenty of sides will get turned over worse at Whitehart Lane.

I do think Warnock has gotta take a look at the line up though. Taarabt in the starting 11 is a luxury that we cannot afford in this league and Barton is ineffective on the right. I also think we look a far better side with 2 up top. Mackie's work rate in the 2nd half created a lot for us as well!

Bothroyd and Mackie coming on made a massive difference 2nd half

I did start this thread at half time and I agree in the second half we were a different side and much more effective.

Barton is clearly not a left sided player and had a good second half in central midfield.

I thought Bothroyd had a good game when he came on as did Mackie who will be a nuisance to any defence.

But the thing that really changed was the formation and tactics - hopefully we will have learnt that in the premiership successful clubs move the ball around on the deck and to feet and that the long ball tactics of the championship will not work.

The tactics in the first half were totally wrong and lets hope Neil will learn from that.

One of the main differences in the step in class to the EPL.

Above all else its about having the ability to keep the ball and not lose possession cheaply with unforced errors. In that regard we improved in the 2nd half, but we need to maintain that for the whole season otherwise it'll be a long old struggle. We've only taken 1 point against Blackburn, Fulham, Wigan and Bolton who are all in the bottom 6.

I thought Rangers were pretty decent in the second half. I went into the match knowing Spurs have a stronger team than ours and was actually pleasantly surprised that we did OK for a good chunk of the second half. Not a disaster.

                        I won't deny I a fan of Adel.
                        HOWEVER, yesterday, he was SHOCKING.

The problem is many fans seem to see accomodating him as the reason NW prefers to set up as 4-2-3-1 and not 4-4-2 which they prefer and indeed worked 2nd half v Spuds.
But it's not just to accomodate Adel, in my opinion it's only half the reason.

NW knows playing 4-2-3-1 means he can accomodate Faurlin, Barton & Derry !
4-4-2 he can't. One of them sits on the bench, and it won't be Barton. Yesterday it was Derry.

2 reasons we got better 2nd half today - Adel going off and Barton moving central. He's no winger. He was a luxury out wide last week v 9 men.

Justo ut of interest, before yesterday, when was the last time we played 4-4-2 and did well ?
It didn't work 2nd half v at Fulham.

I want to see Joey in the middle and SWP in his proper position wide on the right. I'd therefore go for:

                            PK

                            Young Gabbidon Ferdinand Trarore

                            SWP Barton Faurlin Mackie

                            HH Bothroyd

My guess is in January, NW will be looking for a left sided midfielder as well as a CB and forward.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I think Derry is getting found out away from home, the quick fast passing of Fulham and spurs have totally neutralized his effectiveness.

Taarabt is a luxury we can't afford away from home..impact sub at best.

Barton on the right wing leaves young totally exposed..as yesterday's first goal showed clearly.

Barton has to play in the middle.

The team that finished the game should start against city.
