Question:
Would you prefer him over Di Carmine? or over Helguson?
Seems a better option that what we tried last year

To be fair to the boy.....he went on loan and done the business for Wycombe. Everytime he has played for us he dont look out of place. Played today bagged a brace...his done everything asked of him so far so why not give him a shot?? If he dont play in the CCC he will never have the experiance will he?@chrisrobson9

i say give him a chance, and an actual chance. about time we gave our own boys a chance. him, hogan n connolly are 3 very bright talents, keep them, get em on long contracts and give em the chance to shine. think balanta could turn out to be a gem. no, not because of a friendly, but because of what i personally have seen of him, always looks very comfortable and composed on the ball, technically very gifted IMHO.

the only real question about him is whether he is strong enough yet. I don't know the answer, just asking the question. He cd be brilliant; equally some horrible lump of a championship centre half with six broken noses cd sort him out in two minutes. Jim and John will be making their assessments, but I repeat the question, who does he play instead of?

Scott mate, I don't say that judgement is wrong. Lets face it, most fans on here tend to stick up for this striker or that striker while knowing in their hearts that all our forward line is at best so so (with the possible exception of Vine, but he's not an out and out striker). There is an argument to throw the bright young prospect into the fire and see if he shines. But does a team serious about promotion - facing a growing list of clubs that have some quite impressive fire power - rely on a kid whose only proven success is a handful of goals in the 4th tier? In a way I agree with you - better to go down all guns blazing - but I can't hide from you that I feel v disillusioned the club don't seem to be in any hurry to sign a proven, established striker who it can be really confident will score goals.
