  • Cracking offer from Newcastle for an additional Season Ticket...

With 14 home games still to come inc ones against Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, Sunderland and Man City. This is an unbelievaable offer.

NEWCASTLE UNITED ANNOUNCE MASSIVE SEASON TICKET PRICE DROP
    - Season ticket prices slashed by 50 per cent -

In recognition of the excellent start the team has made to the new season, and encourage even greater numbers of supporters to get behind the team and keep the early momentum going, the board of Newcastle United are offering all existing season ticket holders the opportunity to buy additional season tickets discounted by 50 per cent, from 2pm today (Monday 24 Oct).

With only five home games gone this unique initiative, agreed by the board of Newcastle United after the Wigan home game on Saturday, is the most generous ticket discount offer of its kind in the country.

A standard Gallowgate season ticket would have cost £558 at the beginning of the season. This special deal makes the price of an additional ticket in the same area just £127 for the rest of the season, with a child's ticket in the Family Enclosure only £37. The unique offer means adults can come to St. James' park for less than £10 a game, and children for just £2.64. Existing season ticket holders can purchase as many of these hugely discounted season tickets as they wish.

Speaking of the board's decision, managing director Derek Llambias said: "We have been delighted with the tremendous start we have made to the season so far, and the fantastic support of our fans. What we'd like to do now is encourage even more supporters to come to St. James' Park and get behind the team. The atmosphere of a full-house at Newcastle United is hard to beat and I know from talking to Alan, his coaching staff and the players just how much it lifts the team and can give us the edge.

"We also know how difficult it is for many people to afford to follow the team, especially in the current economic climate. Our aim is to make supporting Newcastle United as affordable as possible for as many people as possible. On top of the 10-year price freeze we introduced in the summer, this is another initiative we are sure will be popular."

    How to buy

    1. By telephone on 0844 372 1892 - we're open 10am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

    2. From the St James' Park Official Club Store - you can find the Box Office on the second floor.

    That's a fantastic deal, Dazzer.

Didn't realise they had a 10 year price freeze either to be honest. I can see some of our fans calling for a bit of that.

(PS: Although not "QPR related", if you need to ask your usual question, it wasn't me )

Probably Mike Ashley getting his own back. That'll teach them.

I know a few years ago virtually their entire crowd were ST holders. Can't really knock their new deal but I do think it's borne out of fact they are no longer able to sell the number of STs they previously could.

Why? Is someone else's gain your loss? It's like deriding 2 for 1 offers at the supermarket on the basis that someone else paid more last week.
