PA Announcer

Not one for doing a fellow man out of work but our PA announcer really grates on me.

It’s like his brief is to do whatever he can to make us look like Muppets. The way he announces the attendance before the end of the game so the away fans can mock us is a joke; keep it to yourself mate.

And his build up to kick off against Chelsea was cringe worthy every 5mins ‘the game we have all been waiting for’ ‘we have waited 15 years for this’ ‘the first game we looked for when the fixtures came out’ its embarrassing and really made it sound like it was our cup final when in fact it was about letting Chelsea know we were back and the days of them bullying QPR were over.

I agree with you ref the comments made on Sunday I was cringing when he was saying and also agree ref attendences keep it quiet

Though remember they had that other guy for a while he was irritating apart from above like the fella

Totally agree,why highlight we have a small ground,maybe he done it just to remind Chelsh*te thats the noise we make wiv only 15,000 home fans and they are an embarresment at SB WIV 38,000

Our lad isn't as bad as other clubs. As sad as the announcements was he still said it as it was - it was a cup final for most of us.

I actually like it when they announce the attendance especially when we get a result against a big club. They all go " wayyyyyyyyyy" but deep down its "Jesus we got done by little old QPR" who should be cringing??? Not us, for sure.

There is nothing at all wrong with the stadium announcer. Have you been to likes of Chelsea and seen the complete kn*b that they have there ?

The guy is there to announce the teams and to try and build up the atmosphere. It is all about marketing.

If i was to have any criticism it is that i can often not hear the guy that well up in the South Africa Road stand.

As ever at QPR, we need someone or something to moan about. Briatore and Ecclestone took most of the pressure over the past three years. Last week it was Warnock and this week it is the stadium announcer.

Can we not just enjoy the fact that we are now playing football back in the Premiership and that we have just beaten a team that were in the Champions League Final just a few years ago ?

QPR have come a long long way since that famous day at Hillsborough, thanks in a large part to people that were hated by the fans. It is about time we started to cut the club some slack.

The people that work at the club have good intentions. Absolutely no need to slate them.

I've hear far worse at other grounds.
The one that really grates is the Palace one -- especially when they score and he says the name twice, letting the inbreds say the surname all by themselves the 2nd time, as though he's just taught it to them.
Our's isn't that bad.

It's not his decision to state the attendance and I was saying before that this was a cup final for us, because it was!

Real David and Goliath stuff, which makes it far more satisfying.

Doesn't bother me at all. It's like mascots and half time entertainment - all part of the show, but nothing really to do with the main event....which is the half time pint ;)

Who would you have then? Alan Partridge gets my vote - how much to sign him? And would you take him over Pav from Spurs?

These are serious issues and questioins we need to get to the core of.
