Re possession for the Chelsea game, QPR = 51%, Chelsea = 49%. (Stats from BBC, link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15325522.stm)

Aim of a football match: To get 3 points. Accomplished.

Not to please every single critic and do every thing possible correct and play the perfect game of football so theres nothing to moan about.
The sole aim is to win; which we did. Regardless of what could have been done better and who could have been brought on etc etc etc.... We beat friggin Chelski...

    and Im still lovin it

Yes, but take two players from ANY team, when they have to chase a goal and we, or any other team, should not be under the pressure we were. They looked lik ethey had 11 and we had 9.

And how come we matched them at 11 v 11 if we can't at 9 v 11 if it wasn't tactical issue?

That's a pretty simplistic view... what's the point of you being a member of a *discussion* forum then?

            Just asking like?

3 points in the bag against Chelsea = result!
I think our problem is and will continue to be that everyone of our players knows we havent got a natural goal scorer so they dont really who to give the final ball to. Hence it looks like we're trying to score 'the perfect goal', almost walking the ball into the net, a complaint levelled at the Gooners a few seasons back. In actual fact, we just dont know who to give the bloody ball to to score!! Once we get that badly needed, accomplished and capable striker on the field, the direction and purpose of our play will return and I think we'll be a lot better for it.
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

              2015/2016, average at best.....

              2016/2017, same old, same old....

              2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

If you had a look at the number of previous posts you would see I am more than up for discussions, just on this topic it seems a tad strange to me that people are slating our gaffer after we've just beaten Chelsea in the Premier League.

Each to their own and all that, but thats just my personal opinion.

                  1) Have already discussed the 'issue' in a few earlier posts on this thread so can't see why the question is asked.

                  2) Assuming I hadn't discussed it though, perhaps we could ask the moderators to ban simplistic comments to stop this happening in future.

C U Jimmy ..you should get the action that goes with that statement.

Who are you calling Colin? and where is the respect this man deserves? (nobody is infallible, he may not make the right decisions 100% of the time but who does? he got us herein the 1st place)

Any mug can say 11 should beat 9 out of sight but their defence probably cost more to put together than our entire team. + how many internationals + they have been playing in the prem since day dot, where have you been?

Added to the fact the players knew what it meant to the fans + the 6 - 0 thrashing at Fulham, the fact we were winning! Yes we were nervy. We didn't play how we should (and could of) but just hang on a fricking minute and look at the final score, which in a game of this magnitude, is all that counts.

Would you rather we played fantastic football and drew or lost?

Wake up and smell the coffee sunshine. We are in the 3rd tier of the league they call the Premier and it will take time to get where you think we should be already.

                    Rant over

                        A good post.

And also; We do lack opposite movements in the final third. But as you said, until we have a new striker to play we will struggle to create chances.

Not looking for an argument fellas... just you seemed to be saying that all that matters is we won and everything else was superfluous.

I'm just saying there's more to talk about than just the 3 points... one point being Colin's tactical limitations.

Not slating Colin. Just think he's yet to prove his abilities at PL level. Hope he does.

Although I have to admit the whole "Colin" malarkey i do find abit disrespectful

jog on mate...time and a place for everything, including potentially changing managers and this is not the time. Maybe 2 to 3 years if we get to where you think we should be already

And if your not looking for a ruck, maybe you could call him Neil. Al lot of people here like to call him sir Neil! Get it?
