  • Neil Warnock....

Not sure if this has been mentioned but NW deserves a huge amount of credit for yesterdays game. He really out thought AVB and our tactics were spot on.

He has come in for some abuse from some recently but our tactics of closing down quickly and preventing them from playing the ball out from the back really made a difference.

Also the way he put Hill in aswell - someone with passion and a bit of height in there.

    Superb!

i do believe a couple of people have been saying that he can't cut it as a prem manager. the man is quality. he's never been given a rich club/massive squad - he's always had to work hard for his results. The man is a football genius.
don't care if we go down (well, of course i do) but if we keep neil throughout i'd be happy about it.

I don't want to knock him but felt we needed to slow the game down second half , would have bought buzz on with faurlin would have got the simple passing going rather then attempting long passes all the time, the one time we put 5 passes together adel nearly set up young, would really have enjoyed putting 2 -3 past them
#####s, but overal tactics great they underestimated us we know
Need to play with that intensity vs the lower echelons of this league

Not meaning to underestimate what we achieved yesterday was momentus just wanted to rub their noses in it a bit more , greedy I suppose

The second half was a golden opportunity for a couple of our players to get off the mark.

We were playing against 9 men for most of the game yet we only managed a single shot on target,ALL todays papers commented on how Chelsea despite having 2 players less looked more dangerous.I really hoped NW would be more positive in the 2nd half, instead we seemed just happy to hang on to our very slender lead, had Anelka not missed that sitter near the end im sure opinions would have been very different.Great to get 3 points yesterday but NOT a great performance,we looked edgy and kept giving the ball away and created nothing, against 9 men,so sorry dont agree with you at all.

Im sorry but i cant agree with that.

Even with 9 men Chelseas team is still better than ours - just look at their bench.

Our players couldnt go forward too much as they would have left gaps, but we did get forward a fair bit but it was the last ball that was poor.

It was a great performance to grind in and dig the result out. In a derby match like that it was always going to be tough, even against 9 men.

The quality of their players means they will always be a threat.

Basically it comes down to the oldest and most obvious problem Rangers have at the moment ---WE NEED A DECENT STRIKER !!!!

and dont come back with the bothroyd will come good argument cos we all know he might score a few (surely he has to at some point)!

Think what we might have achieved this season already if we had a proven proper goal merchant...The thing is there arnt that many out there
A thought just occurred to me - where has berbatov been for utd? I'd take him on loan!!!!(guarantee 1st team football)
cos a loan its gonna be , as great as Tony F is i dont see him breaking the bank to get a £10m + striker which is what this team is crying out for...that is the next step.

I am not blaming Warnock, but QPR's 2nd half performance was embarrassing and could have ended in humiliation.

QPR allowed 9 man Chelsea to win almost ever ball and allowed them space to attack. That should never have happened.

The commentator and Wilkins were often referring to how QPR should have been able to pass the ball around and keeping possession and pick off Chelsea in a simialr way to how Man City did to Man Utd a few hours earlier. Yes City's and Chelsea's quality is better than QPR's, but QPR hand two extra players to find on the pitch, yet they were defending far too deep to exploit the numercal advantage.

Players often practice playing against a man less, but I wonder if QPR's do.

We where scared, how can you keep a purely defensive player on the field ( Derry) when playing against 9 men, Buz should have come on for him after 60 mons, the **** had to come at us.

The other decision that baffled me whas the subbing of Adel, against 9 men, come on.

I think the bottom line is, he was scared and this transmitted to the players, but to be fair I think in his mind, all he saw was 3 points not an opportunity to bury the basta*** .

We can hopefully now build on the victory.
                        Kept the faith!

I agree about Derry/Buzsaky and I said to a colleague not long ago that I would have kept Taarabt on.

I think Warnock was right to take Adel off when he did .

He was giving the ball away too often and whilst he can turn nothing into a goal with a piece of magic ..... it just wasn't happening for him. he still had the hump for not taking the penalty .

We had a precious goal in the bag and we needed players who 'have a team ethic ' about them to get us over the line . !!

I think Adel had to come off, but not because of the way he was playing, which wasn't anywhere near as badly as some on here have said, but because he'd already been clattered badly a few times, notably the potential leg-breaker from Drogba (thank goodness Adel saw it coming and jumped a bit) and the atmosphere was getting nastier, with yellow cards starting to flow like water.
Taken off partly for his own protection as much as anything.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########
