  • Is Warnock killing Adel's confidence?

Substituted AGAIN on the hour. OK, he wasn't having a great game, but still looked the only player capable of opening up Chelsea. Stats show, he scored 10 of his 19 goals in the last half hour of games last season, even though he only completed 12 of them.

As for the penalty incident, it would be nice for Warnock to clear up the confusion. If Adel was the nominated taker before the game, but HH got to the ball first and wouldn't let go, I'd be peeved off.

He did clear up the confusion on the press conference. Its between HH and AT as to who takes the pens. Neil said "as Heidar got hold of the ball first, who was going to try and take it off him".

Think you watched a different game tbh. He was taken off becasue he kept on gifting Chelsea possession and they were looking more and more threatening with it, hence he was a liability today.

As for the Pen, when HH plays, he's always taken the pens and always scored from what i remember. I think he is the designated pen taker in the club, but when he's not playing Taraabt has taken them. For that reason, and for the chance to grab headlines he wanted to take it, but would know the score and shouldn't have done it as he could've unsettled HH before a crucial moment in the match. It's just another toys out the pram moment from AT.

He was poor today I would have taken him off at half time! When you've got a player who doesn't work it negates the effect of having more a man or two man advantage!

I think as feared before the season...

Adel is proving that he is unable to cut the mustard in the EPL and as time goes on it is becoming more and more obvious to all concerned... most importantly NW is starting to lose patience and is less reliant on Adel this season.. partly because we have better players but mainly because he is unable to influence games as he did last season...

I'd be amazed if Adel is still here at the end of the season... alas he is unable to live off the memories of last season's immensity......

Some bizarre comments here, he gave the ball away on a few occasions but we were much weaker once we went off and were unable to keep the ball in last 20

Its pretty clear from listening to this that Neil still very much loves Adel.

im a massive fan of Adel, but he was very poor today. Gave the ball away numerous times, which you cant do against a side like them. Hes an immense talent, but im starting to lose my patience with his attitude - and I think Warnock will be looking for his replacement this January

he was taken off because he was giving ball away constantly and was playing like a liability and on top of that his attitude stinks...sell the f*cker

AT was taken out badly several times.
I assumed he was taken off before things got really nasty and he got a long-term injury.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

He must have been injured, as he went straight down the tunnel, instead of watching the rest of the game. Ray wilkins the swine commentated that he had spat the dummy out, but I reckon he was on his way to the treatment table.

I thought he was pretty s**t today. Gave the ball away on several occasions.
