To suggest that Puncheon is a PL standard player because he scored is madness. Marlin Harewood scored twice as many as him and we sure as **** wouldn't want him near our side. Blackpool were the 8th top scoters last season. Shaun Derry would've got a couple ATAF.
If were going to go down the route of using statistics to show a players ability, Ephraim has 76 CCC appearances & 1 PL appearance. Puncheon has 78 L2 appearances, 81 L1 appearances, 7 CCC appearances and 11 PL appearances.
Neither is good enough for this level. One is a hardworking, honest but limited player. The other is an overweight, 'bad man' on loan from Southampton's youth team.
January 1st, Puncheon goes back to Saints youth and Warnock can sign a decent winger.

Hogan: 3 goals in 29 CCC games.
Punch: 5 goals in 7 CCC games & 3 goals in 11 PL games.
Now I havent seen him play for us, only seen a game on TV for Blackpool last year, so cant really pass too much judgement on him, but what I saw of him he looked 50 times the player Hogan is.
Also, NW wanted him for a long time over the summer and deemed him good enough to bring in and name in the 25 over Hogan and, I for 1, have faith in Warnock's judgement of players he sees train everyday over forum posters assumptions, usually based purely on the fact he wasnt wanted by Soton for whatever reason.
Until I see him play in an Rs shirt, I will reserve my judgement, but until then I would much rather see him play than Hogan.
You see the obvious problem and failing of people like you and I Matty is that we simply don't have the ability to judge a players talent and suitability without watching him play a few times first.
There must be a school we can go to or something, where we can learn to judge ability without any evidence..............until then we will just have to defer to the experts who are all undoubtedly right.
A player that has been with us for a few seasons and has flattered to deceive time and again is worthy of a place in the squad over a player who is yet to have the chance to show one way or another whether he is worthy.....................now let me think.....................based on what we've seen in the past, one will fail to achieve and the other may do or may not. With the limited time and options available in the summer window he was brought in because Warnock felt he was a better option than one that has failed ever to impress so I go with the manager, at least until I get my degree from the school of pre-judgment that so many others seem to have attended#standuptocancer

Seeing as QPR can't seem to score goals, I don't see how Puncheon could do any worse.
Taarabt and Bothroyd have yet to score, Helguson scored with a cross, but missed a heading chance from 4 yards out.
He has a bit of pace and has scored at this level before, so why not give Puncheon a game or two, especially now that Campbell will be out until late Dec or January?

Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes

So Adkins has managed both Scunny AND Southampton?
I just wonder?
If so he is indeed an up and coming gaffer.QPR
