  • Torres and Drogba

Who would wish that both get injured today and miss the Sunday game?

Still leaves Anelka, Kalou, Sturridge & not to mention Lampard who can get goals.

Personally I like to see these players live. I wouldn't like to go a season in the Prem without seeing the top stars, that's what its all about.

I'm just praying we play to our maximum potential & they all have shockers!

Looking at the Chelsea v Genk match preview, it says "Torres has missed the last two league games whilst he serves a three-match domestic suspension but is available for European fixtures.". Hence, he will miss the Sunday game.

As Ric mentioned though, some top top players in their side that, on paper, should tear us a new one tbf (my biggest worries are Sturridge, Drogba & Mata.... especially the latter 2!). As we all know that this isnt always the case (ie Blackpool winning at Anfield last season) so shocks can and do happen, keeping me fingers crossed ....

Doesn't matter in the slightest. World class team. Torres is suspended but they still have anelka, drogba, kalou, malouda, sturridge, mata, lampard etc etc...its scary.

              Mata---Sturridge---Anelka

Pretty strong forward line to be fair.

Also got Lukaku looking for his first goal and Salomam 'no' Kalou to shank one from nowhere.

Im sure Fitz Hall will be fine and let Sturridge out of his pocket after the game...

None of them could out-pace, turn or trick Hall. Won't happen. Total shut out. Get your money on.

                    Wish them injured.

Nah, that wouldn't be good enough.

A horrific car accident where they both died in pain in your getting closer.

Nope, mean every word of it.

Remember when it came up on the news that Cristiano Ronaldo had been in an accident and I jumped around like we'd just won the FA cup final and then had the bitter, bitter disappointment of seeing he had come away uninjured. :impatient:

                          40 Hilario
                          02 Ivanovic
                          19 Ferreira
                          35 Belletti
                          41 Hutchinson (Terry 77)
                          10 J Cole
                          12 Mikel
                          15 Malouda (Lampard 46)
                          18 Zhirkov (A Cole 69)
                          21 Kalou
                          45 Borini

Was the Chelsea team who dumped us out of the carling cup 1-0. Not exatcly a thrashing. They've got better players but the bold ones are still huge players.

And also - look at the team we fielded - it's much better now:

                          22 Heaton
                          03 Stewart
                          06 Leigertwood
                          13 Gorkss
                          29 Borrowdale
                          07 Routledge
                          10 Buzsaky
                          14 Rowlands (Ephraim 73)
                          18 Faurlin
                          08 Vine (Taarabt 66)
                          23 Simpson (Pellicori 73)
