Aha, agreedUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes

Poor excuse. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Poor excuse.
It is an experimental ball that behaves totally differently to a normal football (there was even a documentary explaining why). Even people in UEFA and FIFA criticised it, but the deal was done.
I thought it was only for the World Cup though.....
In fact - when I swapped from a normal mouse to an infra-red one in my Quake 3 days it made a huge differnce to my uber skills...so your analogy is actually a multi-layered beauty.

Thanks silvercue for confirming, I was beginning to think I was going mad Someone in FIFA sanctioned that ball, and has now got a healthier bank account you could think. 40,000,000 balls a year.
Matty, this type of ball was being used in the euro qualifiers. It destroys game play, makes the games boring. Bad teams are not affected. Good ones are. In a nutshell, it bounces higher, once it's more than knee high, it's more time wasting to control it, it goes faster, skids off the pitch very fast. It has affected tactical play.
This season's Eufa cup and Champions league are using the ball, and next year's Euro 2012 will be using an even faster one (more speed, more bounce). And you won't even get a chance to see it in action before the competition starts. It will be another nightmare tournament.
You do not want to see this ball in the premier league, believe me. You can't play long lofted thru balls with it, it goes out of play too fast. and as players are using a different ball in their own leagues, they are not used to it and how it behaves.
So this time the ball is an excuse, but managers and players won't say so, because first re-actions from people like yourself (no slight intended) is to rubbish it as a pathetic excuse. Watch tonight's CL games, and the Eufa ones, but just take more note of the bounce and the speed. It's subtle, but it honestly wrecks game play. Let us know after the games what you think.
And what's even worse, people who should know better, don't. Commentators and ex player TV pundits are all falling into the same trap and blaming the teams and the players.
