Covered the RB slot on several occasions, got in behind Derry when he uncharacteristically went missing, showed for the ball whenever he could and put in a decent shift. Played a few poor passes, but he also played some great balls in from open play as well as deadball situations. I promise you this is true.

I didn't think much of him at Villa and thought he was very poor against Fulham, but barring Adel, Orr and the cameo by Mackie...who wasn't?

I genuinely think too many people are finding it far too easy to criticise our captain. Maybe it's because of his past, or the fact they don't like the cut of his jib? I don't know, but he's getting far too much OTT criticism. Sometimes a players face doesn't fit. Poor Ramage had the same problem. Not saying he was a great player, but he's nowhere near as bad as many made out. I honestly think that Barton isn't ever going to win some fans over, which I find silly. How is a man supposed to settle without support?

Take the other man for instance. Does as he pleases, and can still do no wrong. Heroes and villians. QPR always have them, and no matter what they do, their status rarely seems to change within the club.
Sorry mate but regardless of what he earns he needs to do a lot more than he did saturday. Yes i agree he always wanted the ball, cant fault him for that and he did slot in for Young, i noticed that, but his first touch was poor, his distribution was poor and he seemed to get caught in possesion too much. I agree there wasnt much better going on around him but that was not a performance from a proven premiership player who some are calling to be included in the England squad. On saturdays showing he hasnt got a prayer.
But im not on an anti Barton trip, he was poor saturday, didnt go Fulham but watched it online and didnt see him do much and he was quiet vs Villa, but he is still a quality player and im glad we have him.

If one of the players is not pulling his weight or behaving badely and the other players are sick of it then it is up to the manager to sort it out.

If he does not then who other than the captain is placed to do so.

It appears that Warnock has not done enough if the eyes of some of the players to deal with Tarrabt, hence they begin to speak out publicly. Was always going to happen this year with better and more experienced players.

I am afraid it will only get worse and Warnock does not appear to have the answers when in the spotlight he finds himself under in the Prem.

I definitely went and I though he did fairly well. A few misplaced passes, but some world class balls as well. Like I say...I know I was there as I remember being there. And the heated conversations with the stewards, so I'm sure I didn't dream it.

                  Anyway, it's all about opinions.

The 'you cant of gone to the game' remark wasnt aimed at you Ben and it wasnt a cocky remark either it was a simple reaction to someone saying Barton did well saturday. Maybe i expect too much of him i dont know but what i do know is that he is a better player than the one i saw saturday. Yes it is about opinions and i value yours mate but we are miles apart on this one.

I know mate, I'm just jumping on the back of it. It's what I do.

Besides, I'm bored of this subject and you've not once mentioned anything about the weekends boxing.

                        You've changed.

Why is always me that has to start off the boxing talk, you always leave it to me, it aint fair, theres two of us in this relationship you know. I tried to get a convo going the other week about the Sykes Buckland fight and you were giving me the silent treatment. 'He's got the hump again' i thought. Its once a month with you

It's my prerogative. Deal with it.

I think we should stick to Barton. Morris clearly likes him.

A few of the regular and respectable posters have said he didnt play too bad.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Barton didn't play that well, but I think he looked OK because others around him were so dire.

I could have looked OK compared to Derry and I am blind and stupid.
