    What a kn.ob

Not exactly squeeky clean himself is he. I don't remember JT or Giggs every going to prison for caving someones head in whilst they lay unconscious on the floor....

I love the way people react. For speaking out, he's a knob. He's openly criticised himself for his past, so he's hardly hiding anything. What he's said is bang on. Terry is a disgusting s.cumbag, and the perfect man Giggs did one of the worst things a man could do to a family member.

I'd like Joey to keep some things to himself, but why he should be abused for these things is beyond me.

        Spot on Benny.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Nelson Mandela, Gerry Adams and many others, so I guess they are knobs in your books.

Agreed, it'd be nice if he concentrated more on the football, but he's completely right in that evaluation, including the stuff about the rugby players.

What did you not like about what Barton said ?

"If I was Adel and I had Adel's ability I'd not be wanting to come up short having not worked hard enough" NW and others say that all the time but no one gets upset.

"I don't know whether that's because he doesn't work hard enough or whether he tends to sulk" NW and others say that all the time but no one gets upset.

"I'm happy that he's upset really because it shows he does care" NW and others say that all the time but no one gets upset.

"He wouldn't like to come in and apologise for doing that, and maybe didn't think he needed to, but to a lot of the senior players maybe he should have" This is a direct result for letting people do what they wants, when they want and letting them get away with it. It worked last season but wont this season.

i dont get that...he only said what we fans have been saying all along, he just had the cojones to say it in public. nothing wrong with that in my book, and now we will see what kind of a player AT really is. will he take the criticism to heart and sulk about it? or will he get his head down, take the criticism on board, and strive to live up to his "genius" tag? if its the latter, then people should be thanking barton. i bet they dont though.

There are a few precious people getting all offended on Adel's behalf, when there is nothing to be offended about. The fuss is all about Joey being giving the captaincy instead of Adel and they aint got the nuts to criticise NW for doing this, so they dig Joey. (I posted this on another thread yesterday).

Well knowing him he will sulk about and he could quite easily say the same thing about joey not living up to his reputation for somebody who on 80k a week!

It just my opinion, I rather it was not out in public and say it to Taarabt face instead which I bet he already did, but keep it in the dressing room.

                        just how i feel...

mate, he's had 5 games in a brand new squad, thats hardly any time to build a rapport with anyone, no matter how much you're on.
in my opinion, he said this in public to get a positive reaction out of adel, in that adel will look at how he is now perceived by the public and try to play a lot better, live up to the hype and change that perception.
i think we'll have to agree to disagree on the whole barton talking too much thing, but i respect your opinion.

Apart from the fact they have been "working together" every day for 5 weeks...(about 25 days?)..If you cant built a rapport with someone over 400 hours then you are either brain dead or as interesting as a post....In JB 'case i know what i think....

He's stood up as a reporter, just wish he could deliver it on the pitch....sadly....
