OP's team but Smith for Mackie for me, too.
I do think we need Barton to drop back from the hole which he's supposed to be in -- he's playing deeper than that naturally, along with Derry and Faurlin, and there isn't a lot of linking between the midfield and forwards, other than hoofing from deep.Last edited by swanleyhoop; 17-10-2011, 08:52 PM.Faurlin is my hero!!! Mackie has lost a good couple of yards of pace. On Saturday he couldn't run past Salgardo who's one of the slowest if not the slowest defenders in the league. He should never of started at the weekend and be made to win his place in the starting 11. Thought HH had a good game but will also go on record in saying JB would of cause more problems than Mackie did.

Kenny
Young
Gabbidon if fit? If not Connolly
Ferdinand
Traore
SWP
Barton
Faurlin
Smith
Helgusson
Taarabt
For me. With Barton/Faurlin alternating as to one drop deep/one push on to support going forward.
SWP and Smith to give us natural width, fullbacks to be given licence to overlap and if Barton and Faurlin are not performing, for f*ck sake give Buzsacky at least a decent 25/30 minute run out.
Lets play with a tenacity and intensity Chel**** have not seen before, don't give them time on the ball, get stuck in, win those 50/50's, don't stand off and admire their reputation as players, let's bloody get in their faces and upset their rhythm.
:yush:
Come on You R'rss!!!

Kenny
Young, Ferdinand, Gabbidon, Traore,
Barton,Akos,Faurlin,
SWP, Adel, Heidur
Let's go for it.
