Waste of time that family bit. Never sells out.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

There should be no so-called "family area."
And whoever thought of making the Loft end a so-called family area, must be barking.

Funny that, I was checking out the ticket availability online some 10 days ago and there were very few single tickets left and I think only one instance of two adjacent seats available. IMHO we can never know the real availability/sold-out statud until we look around the ground after kick-off. I suspect the club can sometimes contribute to the confusion by initially marking many seats as unavailable, maybe to boost ticket sales as people conclude that the ground will soon sell out.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

I don't know how it can sell out as you have to but an adult + child, so in theory every third seat can be ampty and unsellable.

About 70 - 100 mostly in lower loft, but can't sell them because of the stupid family stand rule! Yeh they are on general sale

                  Unbelievable.

I fully expect them to go though as the days pass.

Yea as said by others this family stand thing needs rearranging.

There is still a section in ER up for grabs. The club are holding these back for people who book the off-site pre-match hospitality hosted by Stan. If this doesn't sell out the tickets will go on sale later this week.

The club advertised the Blackburn as a sell-out yet we only got 16487 and Blackburn must have bought around 1000, so as usual home areas 1000 short of capacity. What do we have to do to sell out?
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Blackburn had 900 empty seats in upper school end,600 seats covered up in lower tier, add to actual attendance and that is your 18,000 capacity.

They should have put the 900 odd Blackburn fans in the lower tier and Rangers in the upper with first 2 rows covered up,probably would have given Rangers another 1000 odd tickets for home fans.

The only reason we will never sell out 18,000 capacity is because QPR are not selling tickets as Romford Hoop said above the 600 seats is covered up in lower tier! It not because we cant sell it, it because of health and safety regulations! The away fans could chuck anything at you below or wee on you head if they really wanted to and also the family only area is a **** take which don't help!

This is true, but even with 600 seats taken away, shouldnt a "sell out" be a 17,760 capacity?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
