Yea theyre a right pain, stopped me and a couple pals getting tickets in the lower loft for the Newcastle game, we ended up over in Row Z with the new-found tourist fans... complete with Kodaks around necks.

not that I have a problem with attracting new fans, just that I would have much rather been in the Lower loft!

sell out doesn't mean capacity - especially in our stadium.

Blackburn was a sell out for home fans, but all of our seats were not sold.

what happened to that roof thingy they erected at the end of last season in the Lower School end. Take the leeds game 18.300.

Not sure - I thought it was temporary, but don't know what the health and safety regs are. I assumed we would make something permenant. Other gorunds have opposing fans above/below each other, so no idea what the rules are.

The attendance, is how many people come through the turnstiles.
The ticket availability, is how many tickets are available (which is obviously not season ticket seats or seats already bought).

If a season ticket holder decides not to turn up to a game, his/her seat will be empty and is not re-sold (these are not included in the attendance as some might think) - Hence a lower attendance and empty seats in some places.

This is how we can still sell out but still have a lower attendance and empty Seats, and that's not without counting the away support.

I don't understand this need to cordon off the front part of Lower Ellerslie?? I'm sure there are plenty of grounds with different sets of fans up and below without loads of seats cordoned off...... Anfield, Etihad for instance.

Oh and BTW If you look at the main site you will see a plan of the ground showing you exactly which stand is which.

                        80s do
Arsenal not announce their attendance Inc st holders even if they don't show? Sunday vs aunderrland they still
Announced 60k despite tonnes of empty
Seats , not trying to argue more
Curious that we don't Inc st in the attendance figure

I have asked at the box office re this, we do it the way i said, the attendance they give out is the actual amount of people that pass the turnstiles per game (although they do include people in boxes etc).

Re away games that figure is not always correct (well depends on what way you look at it).
This is how it was in the championship anyway:
The figure published in programmes that we take away is the amount of tickets we sell at Loftus Road from our allocation.
It did not include tickets sold at the away ground (from tickets returned) or pay on the day tickets (obviously this is not done the same in the prem as there are no pay on the day tickets available to away fans so there is more chance that it is correct this year) ALthough with places like Fulham where anyone seemed to be able to get tickets it becomes just a guesstimate.

Maybe we should just lie and make our attendences appear bigger!!

Those seats in lower School end won't be covered this week as Chelsea have been given full allocation of school end upper & lower. Also maybe family stand not sold is because some parents may feel there will be trouble at this game and don't want to subject their young kids to what ever might be going on in and around the ground? similar to Millwall last year

yeah in Denmark where the largest Club FC Copenhagen has approximately 20.000 spectators (similar to QPR) it is ONLY some games that there is a Family stand. There is never a Family stand allocated for the High risk matches for security reasons. The same should apply to QPR, but not only for security reasons - also because of the added interest of watching us (QPR) against the big teams.
