If you look closely, in the majority of cases, the people who are digging out Joey Barton, would also love to have Taarabts babies, so it looks loke it is just a personal swipe at Joey Barton for being made Captain and taking it away from their hero.

felt he has been abit under par since signing. but then again in same breathe think he is being played out of position. should be next to faurlin.

They say that football's all about opinions, and for what it's worth, in my opinion, Joey Barton is a good player, had a good game against Blackburn, would be one of the first names on my team sheet against Chelshyte, if not THE first name, and I'm very pleased he's a Queen's Park Rangers player/captain.
I thought he looked good yesterday.
Some nice touches, decent vision & always wanting.
Yea he gave the ball away a couple of times & hit a few passes to long but at least he keeps going.
Not sure what people want to see from him? Up in peoples faces, dribbling past 5 opponents? Yes he could be better they ALL could but he will be the difference between staying up & going down.
Only criticism I have of him is he's to outspoken & all his twitter b0llox.
I think he can be an outstanding player and at times for us this year he has been excellent. For me personally though he hasn't been incredible, he certainly hasn't lived up to all the hype.
However for me the reason for this and the reason why I don't think we are getting the best out of him at the moment is that he needs to be in the centre pulling strings or if not then on the right in a 4 man midfield. Make him the box to box combative midfielder that he can be and we will have a real player on our hands, until then I think we won't see the best of him and people will continue to target him.

Warnock overstepped the mark as well when he branded Traore a "disgrace" for being sent off. By all means repremand player, but keep it in house and in proportion to the offence.

It is time for everyone to step up to the plate, the players need to know just how important this is for the fans as it is for them.Queens Park RangersNPower Champions 2010/2011

Trouble with this League is that we need EVERY player playing to their fullest - there's no real margin to be below par or you get punished. Unfortunately, any player that goes missing for 10 minutes, wanders out of position or gives a few balls away will come under the microscope. Likes of Joey just have to be 100% at it or some will start questioning them.... it might be a tad harsh but it's a plain fact of life in the prem and Joey's not been shy about telling the world how good is he in the past.

Not been near what I expected. He hasn`t been playing or acting as a captain. Often seems uninterested and lazy, which is what bothers me the most. Saying that Taraabt doesn`t work enough on the pitch, which often is true,......but what about your workrate Joey? Maybe he`ll be better in centre midfield...we`ll see.

I genuinly beleive it is his off field comments that have fuelled this view. We know he gats paid a lot and he hasn't played well enough yet. But some of the stuff he has got involved with on twitter is an embarrassment to the club.
I watched him a lot on Sat and he was mediocre. Not awful, but certainly not good enough.
And to tell the world he should be in the England squad based on current form shows he is clueless.
