It costs £10 to delete a profile (as set out in the terms and conditions) just sent to my paypal account.
Being serious. Wait a whilst and see what happens, all sites have your email addy. QPR had a breach that they werent happy with and whatever happened happened re them trying to get hold of the poster. Its no biggy (i think...see what happens before going offski).
The bigger issue is the club harrassing a fan in the way they are doing IMHO
There is an important issue here regarding the site
have the site owners passed on a members personal information to a third party outside the remit of their privacy policy and the rules of the data protection act
A statement from the Owner(s) of the site is required to clarify this point to re establish trust
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks
Whatever the rights and wrongs of what Ric, NW and the club on this one, the questions that need answering are:
- Did someone on this site give the club Rics email address?
- If so, did they first ask Rics permission to do so?
If the answer to these questions are yes and no then there are some quite serious data protection issues. Not least, where is the line drawn where information is freely given, and to whom?
I take no pleasure in saying this, as I enjoy reading and occasionally posting here, but this is (IMHO) hugely troubling.
I only find out about this subject when I logged in last night and posted.
I still don't know whats happend and if any information was passed on, all I know is that the email address on the official website is not the same as the one on our database here.
I have not spoken to Ric-Roc at any stage and still trying to figure out what's actually happened.
One of our rules and all mods know that we don't provide anyone with our members details, not even email address, I'm really strict with that.
Just to confirm, all members can delete threads and posts themselves.
All we ask is if other members have contributed to your thread then please ask a member of staff to delete it for you as others have responded.
In circumstances as we had then we wouldn't have a problem with any of our members deleting their threads but please PM one of the mods so that you make as aware of the situation.
