  • Blimey that was pretty dismal and we were lucky to get a point!

Not many positives from today for me am afraid...

Derry was dismal and maybe needs a rest... lost and gave the ball away far too much..

HH's lucky goal aside was fairly ordinary...

Mackie is Championship standard and unless there is a stunning turnaround in form for him he will quickly fade and be loaned out/sold in Jan...

Barton Tweets a better game than he actually plays for me....

SWP was in and out and didn't do much with the ball.. maybe an off day but not much there to write home about for me....

Adel looked terrible when he came on and if he continues to lose form and or lustre to his game at this rate we'd be hard pressed to give him away in Jan let alone actually get a fee for him....

Does anyone else wonder whether Paddy Kenny should have been wearing a baseball cap in the first half and if so would he have saved that header?

Faurlin wasn't up to snuff either today for me.....

I won't go through the whole team but overall I thought there was far too much unnecessary hoofing, little creativity, almost no urgency and that we hardly troubled Robinson.. they could have played with a rush goalie and still not lost....

The atmosphere for most of the game was virtually non-existent... still, nothing new there as we've had this debate many times.. we are on the whole a very quiet set of fans... there was some sporadic chants from the corner of ER as ever but even they were fairly muted for most of the game... still, the team hardly gave us much to work with huh...

I'm starting to seriously worry if NW actually has what it takes to move us on or even keep us up... his tactics are hardly inspiring and he seems to have too many favourites and leave his substitutions far too late....

At the risk of seeming like the harbinger of doom I can't see anything other than 3 real hammerings in the next 3 games... very much hoping I am wrong but the portents don't look good....

Interesting how most of the post match comments centre around the 'internet traitor' (from the Sun) rather than the abysmal performance where nobody shone.

we should have done better today and the frustrating thing for me is that we -could- have done better if 3-4 key players were on their game. alas they weren't, but ultimately a point is better than nowt.

nervous now for the next 3 games though.....
      come on you r's!

Bloody Hell, he's had one game after recovering from a broken leg. Do me a favour. I actually thought he did well today, his hold up play was especially good.

As for us being 'abysmal' I think thats a bit OTT. Yep we weren't great but people are forgetting that were premiership now and not gonna turn sides over. Its going to take a few weeks for our side to properly gel and for Neil to find out the best system for the players he's got.

People are far to quick to press the panic button.

OTT post. We were poor, but not as poor as you make out. Thought we looked a bit better when Adel came on - he is the only spark of creativity we have, so needs to play. Also thought Barton and Faurlin were OK. Don't think Mackie is a long term solution but not a bad performance after a year out and at least gives a bit of fight which we needed after a 6-0 defeat. Agree Derry is overdue a rest and think a lot of fans view him with rose tinted spectacles because of last season.

Just being realistic... At the risk of sounding harsh to someone who has done extremely well to recover from a hideous injury but, I really do not think Mackie has enough about him at this level.. lets not forget how the goals dried up last season and that was in the Championship so I can't see how he is suddenly going to set the EPL alight but we'll see.. I would love to be proved very wrong as we need a goal scorer or someone who can set up others...

As for rolling teams over well, it seems to happen to us and other teams so shy shouldn't we be capable of putting teams to the sword... Wolves aside, we have managed 3 goals in about 6 or 7 games and one of those was an OG....

I stand by my assessment that we were pretty dire for most of the game against a team who ended up BOTTOM of the league after today's game....

what a depressing day! We played one of the worst team at home against a poor team... and as for joey i am really disappointed.

i don't care what anybody say but he is overrated for somebody who is on 80k a week!

                good night

Really surprised noone has mentioned the penalty we shouldve gotten. Pretty sure it was Salgado making a terrible tackle attempt on Adel. Not saying we played well but felt like mentioning it.

SWP is awful, just an overrated player and after a good debut has gone south quickly. Gutted that DJ has gone down because I thought he was going to be our main goalscorer, Helguson despite a lucky goal clearly isnt the answer up top.

That was NEVER a penno and AT was/is even less likely to get a decision when he goes down in such an embarrassing way... anyone would think that he had been kneecapped judging by his reaction.. theatrics like that should only be on show at The Old Vic NOT LR... behave yourself....

what really worries me is that the first half displays against Newcastle and Villa were only a matter of weeks ago and the confidence seems to have drained away since then so what's gone so wrong???

Ive watched it many times from different angles it was an awful challenge and definitely a penalty. Your view is incredibly ignorant about going down, under that much contact i would want any player to go down because you force the ref to make a decision. If you dont go down then the ref is just going to let you play on. You clearly have something against Adel.
