  • Confidence

The strange thing that was common today is lack of confidence like they have not played together before. On example is The Taarabt miss. It was a copy of his goal against Cardiff in the 2-2 draw last season. He controlled the ball very well and scored that day but was really poor today. What went wrong?

To be fair, he'd only just come on the pitch and hadn't got his eye in at that point.
But I do think there is something missing -- confidence, team spirit, togetherness.

Makes me wonder if there was some sort of big bust-up between the Villa game and the Fulham game. They look like a bunch of players who have fallen out. Very noticeable that all the banter on Twitter has stopped as well.
    Something is not right.

You miss my point...there was lots of evidence of a good team spirit, and the banter was part of that.
Now there is no evidence of that -- the players aren't even speaking to each other on the pitch, there is no togetherness.

Your last line is priceless -- do you think we don't know that? It's not as though we haven't been here before.
No, it was never going to be easy, but it wasn't unrealistic to expect a win at home to the team who everyone else is beating -- these games are our only chance of picking up the 40 points.
Realistically, unless these players start bonding as a team, it is quite possible that we won't score another goal, let alone get another point, until West Brom at home (and, after today, little chance of that).
