According to the BBC gossip site
    Kept the faith!

Would be, IMO, a quality signing. I know people will argue he is yet to do it in the PL, btut I think he has all the attributes to do so. Would much rather him than CMS (a player alot of people still seem to wish we bought!) thats for sure. And he would certainly be a better option than Bothroyd.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

2 goals in this old firm game. Terrible defending from Rangers tho..

Always hard to judge a player in Scotland because the standard is sub-Rowan Vine these days, but agree with Matty has all the attributes and liked him very much from his Championship days.

          He's a good player

I read £7m somewhere though. Not sure about paying that
A blog of my first season ticket, and QPR's return to the Premiership after 15 years

            Not sure...???

That should surely read, definitely not worth that!!

He may have the attributes, a good finisher etc, and i'd be quite happy if we picked him up and gave him a run, but not if the fee is anything like that! I'd say £3m was pushing it. He COULD turn into a Doyle and be a success in the top flight, or could be a disaster and the fee should reflect that. The fact he does well for Celtic in the SPL shouldn't dictate the fee, becasue although they are a big club, they need to accept they don't play difficult football so his stats etc up there are pretty much irrelevant.

If that's the asking price, it's not a surprise we're looking abroad where we'd be able to pick up proven internationals for slightly lesser nations for less money than that.

I think Id rather have Palyunchenko or however its spelled, I cant see any SPL players making the grade in PL. It all takes me back to Mark Hately!!!!

Like Del said, £3 million max and i would think about it. Any more than that and they are having a laugh. Too much of a gamble. We need someone who is proven. We are talking about buying someone to help us survive in the toughest league in the world. We have to get this right.
Anyone can score in Scotland and whilst he did well in the championship for a poor team i think he would struggle in the Premiership.

Would be overpriced but worth it from what I've seen of him.

Agree mate, a classic example is Kris Boyd. Scored 128 goals in 192 apps for Glasgow Rangers and was a big failure at Boro..

£7 million for a player that has only played League football and one and a bit seasons in the disgrace that is the SPL, no way.

Our problem will be that clubs know we have a bit of cash now and seem eager to spend every penny of it so will bump up the prices of what are actually fairly average players.

Yeah and that wasn't even prem level, but CCC. Showd the gulf in class between those two leagues, let alone the prem.

I'd have more confidence in Cox as was a top ccc striker, but that said I'd have more faith if making the jump from ccc direct to prem as they are closer. The fact he's effectively gone backwards with the spl, the jump is even bigger imo, like going from league 1 to the prem. As a result he may be a worse player now than he was then as players for celtic get complacent thinking they are playing a good std when they aren't. Has Robbie Keane scored a goal since he returned from SPL before being moved on to the US?

Many good points there. But theres still a possibility that he is a prem class player. But not worth to gamble £7m..

He would be a good signing but he is playing in the SPL so he has something to prove in a much better league (PL).

But he would be better than Campbell and Bothroyd.

Their are rumours of Johnson and Zamora from Fulham as well!

                            Which one????

We have to make the right choice this time. hence, I dont like the fact that he plays in SPL.
