Well Neil has been hinting about a change of formation in the week. I just hope we play two up front. Know its incredibly difficult with Tabs but either play Tabs as an out and out striker next to Bothroyd (he never tracks back anyway so may as well play him far forward) or play DJ and drop Derry with Barton and Faurlin playing quite deep. I hope Neil doesn't just play the same old formation and then wait till the 70th odd minute when we still haven't scored to bring on DJ when the pressure will already be mounting.

For me Taarabt (lack of discipline v Fulham) and Bothroyd (no good) should not play on Saturday. If this was to happen, what would you do, as I think your options would be interesting. (if they do play, I hope they score)

Well if neither played then guess you would go Dj and Helguson with a flat four in the middle (SWP-Faurlin-Barton-Smith) but Neil is an old fashioned manager who doesn't seem to like to rotate - when he drops a player (eg Gorks, Connolly, Buz) then you know its pretty well curtains for them whereas the bigger clubs seem to rotate all the time. As such I would be surprised if Bothroyd didn't start.

And let's be fair, over that period they have been a decent team, with players that can create chances so that tally is terrible.

Why would we then want to blow £2m on him?

As for Zamora, he would be good for us. Would fit our preferred system as can play on his own, can also play in a 2, and scores goals. He also apparently fell out with Jol when at Spurs and there's no love lost apparently so he could be available.
Brilliant post Del, my thoughts exactly. Taking away his hattrick against us he has been very poor for Foolham.
Alotof our fans, me included tbf, seem to forget we have a player who scored 13 PL goals last year sitting on our bench! Get him playing and he will score you goals (as he showed when he came on vs Wolves!).

Zamora would be agreat up top with DJ, IMO, that could be a very potent striekr force especially when supported by the likes of Adel,SWP & Joey.

Can see your points mate and cant say I disagree too much. Saying they both were to be dropped, could possibley play:

            Kenny
Young Ferds Hall (as Gab stil injured?) Traore
            SWP Faurlin Barton Smith
            Buzz
            DJ

Not a bad side IMO. BUzz and Smith will both give you 100% and will be trying to prove a point, also neither are too shabby a player either, even if nto in the same league, abiltiy wise, as Adel.
Although I have said before now Adel needs to be dropped to show he cant do as he pleases, I am beginning to side abit more with the people defending him and saying we need him on the pitch; he can win us a game if he decides to show up and its a big decision to drop such a talent. Will be intersting to see how NWplays it. Personally, I cant see NW dropping him.

whatever formation Neil chooses, I just hope they have been working on it in training sessions to get the balance right, because last week it looked thrown together.
I know that to a certain extent it was, due to Connolly/Hall injury before kick-off, but it shouldn't have affected the performances of other outfield players like Barton, SWP, Derry, JB, Tarbs, as much as it did.
