  • If we were to Build on White City.....

Definately need to have a statue of a greyhound at the front - just in recognition of how much money people like my Old Man (god rest his soul) and Sir Stan of Bowleshire spunked up there!

Also would need to build on the fact that the 46 Olympics were held there...

    The Original Olympic Stadium?

Would love a move to a spanking new stadium - with such a heritage already built into it

White City would be the only option for me as i would not want QPR to move away from the Bush.
I went to games during the 1962-63 season and my family all used to go to the dogs.

Never saw a game there but my Grandad and Dad took me to the dogs there once a month. Sometimes hanging around local hostelries after a game at LR.

The place spooked me out. It was dark, dank, delapitdated, blind corners in the concourses, flickering lighting. A few hundred people (couple of thousand for the Derby) in a stadium that once held 108,000 was eerie. The place looked prime for a Scooby Doo mystery.

Used to love the grand old staidum...The Derby dogs was a great night out with all the family. Seen QPR and the world Cup games, stock car racing was a larf too...shame QPR couldn't have kept it.

Whenever a QPR player over-hit a pass to the extent that a team mate could not run onto it, my late granddad used to say, without fail apparently, "the greyhounds are at the White City."

Got to be a bronze of a guy with John Lennon specs, wearing Birkenstocks - copy of The Guardian under one arm, some organic beetroot from Borough Market under the other being harangued by Richard Littlejohn.

You couldn't make it up. We're going to hell in a handcart. I tried to wear an England shirt and the council told me it would offend disabled lesbian Al-Qaeda members in the community. Why are we physically prevented from celebrating St. George's Day by jackbooted Islamo-fascist commies sent by the 'elf and safety department???? :rage::angry:

exactly, i remember being outside the adelaide after a cardiff game and singing england, then being approached by masses of old bill only to be told that we would be arrested if we continued to sing England (in england funnily enough) as we were in an area of racial tension. WHAAAAAAAAAAAT????

Absolutely. Everywhere in England it's ILLEGAL to sing England songs.
