You're saying it like it's impossible, when it's clearly not. With Rooney out for the warm up matches all english strikers will try and make an impression. If DJ gets some goals and plays well then who knows; he could do it!

Lots of talk from our players and not too much on the pitch so far. Last game we got heavily beaten by fulham....hardly england quality. Good to have ambition but prefer if they'd just keep quiet for a bit and perform on the pitch, starting with a win on saturday. If by Christmas we're sitting pretty in top half, then they can talk to their hearts content and probably with some justification.

Why shouldnt he aim high? He was the PLs 2nd top English scorer last year (behind Bent), is it absurd for him to think he could maybe earn a call up when he scored more than all of this rivals for the position, bar 1, in the league last year? Whilst in a poor side? Nothing wrong with having goals to aim for.
