    I didn't find it funny. For a start he is on a pay as you play deal so its a epic fail of a made up letter.

      Pay as you play doesn't mean that he doesn't get paid at all when he's injured, he still gets a decent basic wage but if he wants to earn serious money he does so through appearances. We're still paying him at the moment.

            Depends what you class as peanuts I suppose. Definitley taking home a good few thousand a week, probably around the 8-10k mark.

                  I'd take a punt at around the £1k a week mark basic.

                  When playing probably nearer £10k per appearance then add your bonus's, per point, win etc & it will come to a pretty penny.

                  But whilst laid up it'll be next to nothing.

                  That's the whole point of signing an injury prone player on a PAYP deal.
