For me Buz is not a centre-mid, he just can't tackle. I know he is not a left winger either, but he can interchange with Taarabt as well as linking up with Faurlin.

I'm looking at more the fact you have Barton in the middle when its pretty much accepted that he does not like that position but likes wide right.

Also Taarabt is a significant part of our formation whilst on the offensive. Taking him out again changes things because although Tommy Smith is a sturdy player he is no Adel Taarabt.

All opinions are respected mate, fair enough thats yours. But in mine, midfields dont need to be the greatest tacklers, so long as who they are alongside a player/players that can make up for that.

Ie: When was the last time anybody saw Luca Modric make a tackle? He doesnt need to as he does the ball work and Huddlestone/Sandro do the dirty work. Same as at Man City; Nasri or Silva wont ever tackle and they dont need to as Toure/Barry/De Jong do it for them and free them up to spray the passes, which is exactly what Buzz would do in the middle with Barton & Faurlin in there to win the tackles.

But tbf that side youve name isnt half bad and I wouldnt have many qualms about that starting vs Blackburn.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Why play Buzz on the left when Smith would do a better job in that position ?

You have SWP on the left, when its pretty much accepted that SWP likes playing wide right and Taarabt dropped himself be leaving on Sunday, so for me he needs to watch v Blackburn, so its Smith on the left for me.

Because this is a thread for making a case for Buzsaky, and that is exactly what I've done. Given the players we have, that is where I would play him.

                I wouldn't drop him.

We need our best players and he is one of our best.

Always go with your strongest side.

I'm fully confident NW will will deal with him internally for the good of the club / squad.

P.S. Great post Matty some top points made there.

For me he plays the No 10 role behind the striker, or not at all. It is as if NW dont want to play him were he is most effective, just in case he plays well and other players might have to miss out.

Buz lost the battle with Taarabt two seasons ago and nothing that's happened since suggests he is worth a regular place.

The team needs stability. The new players haven't been here five minutes. Stability not just in defence, but there has been too much rotation of the midfield. The team lost all shape against Fulham. Wright-Phillips should be on the right where he has played all his best football the whole of his career.

Agreed, that's why if Buz is to start his best chance is on the left of midfield. I don't think he would complain either.

I just said that as he's been our starting striker and one of the reasons I feel he hasn't threatened is he hasn't spend enough time in the box.

But DJ would work well with Buzz as Buzz keeps it on the deck - meaning we wouldn't need a target man as buzz would be playing it through for DJ to run on to

Buzz has the minerals. I'm not exactly his biggest fan tbf but its clear he has bundles of energy & a good eye for a pass.
True, and he also has a great set piece delivery direct and indirect. No to mention the ability to scorer goals in and around the box.

The QPR team, is crying out for goals and I believe that with him in the side, there would be a much greater goal threat.

Yes, he was crap at Wigan. So was everyone else and the squad has vastly improved since that game, with Young, Traore, Ferdinand, Barton, SWP and a fit again Campbell. If the above played in that game again I would imagine the scoreline and performance would be much different...in QPR's favour.

                                Totally agree Stan.

                                Gotta be worth a try.
