As does Smith IMO. Neither can be classed as "Championship players", btoh very talented and quality players and will work for the side.

Paul's side would be very strong and, IMO, should be the side that starts vs Blackburn as I am sure NW will not change his formation (which if he did refer back to 4-4-2 I would like to see Bothroyd or Heidur up top with DJ).

442 with barton, derry faurlin and swp will be okay, play barton on the left but he'll drift in whilst traore bombs on the outside.

ideally tho dont wanna play barton out of position again. id go for 4-4-2 vs blackburn, helguson, dj up top. barton faurlin in middle and smith on wide left.

taarabt shouldn't be dropped for form but for his lack of support for his teammates and fans.

Playing a just fit Mackie and taking risks from the off with Buzz and Smith is suicide imo
