  • Clapping an empty coach

Was in the "southern bell" after the game and the players coach drove past which got a standing ovation, singing etc

We soon realised the coach was empty..!!!!

Highlighted to me how loyal us football fans are, we just got stuffed 6-0 and people were standing on railings etc

How did the players get home??
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Either they've been shot or Neil made them all walk home.

Jay could throw a stone to the floor and still miss.

It wasn't empty, they were hiding in the luggage compartment!

Exept SWP, who was apparently found earlier this morning half submerged in Jamie Mackie's bag of Werthers Originals still on the team bus. Despite being slightly disorientated and dehydrated he is said to be OK and ready for training later this morning.

It was on its way to pick up Adel at the bus stop.

Maybe they all went to join Adel in the pub. Joey stayed behind at the ground tweeting for 2 Hrs how much he was earning even when we got stuffed. Fitz was still looking for A.J. as he hadn't seen or got near him all day?
And left us all to feel so bad!

I saw A few players walking home after the game Paddy Kenny was one with his wife, the others were infant of me heading up towards the Fulham Palace rd. I would think a few live nearby.

Players have 5 days off so most got picked up or made own way home.

                            Shouldn't after that performance.

Totally agree. Maybe not training, but at least to pick the bones out of the performance, and clear the air.
