  • Helguson To Start Against Fulham

In place of Bothroyd is the whisper. Don't know how true but a pal close to JB mentioned it to me.

Personally think NW will stick with his usual XI but would be happy to see this come true.

HH is as strong as JB but a much better finisher imo so makes sense.

    We will see I suppose.

Did he used to play for Fulham? If so added incentive against former club,as well as breaking into the Rs first 11

Yea used to play for Fulham Dave.

Same as that Morris. Think this change is due now. People are calling for DJ but its clear that's not the system we play whereas HH would slot in very nicely.

He wins so many free kicks around the area -- shame no-one seems capable of putting them into the net.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

When playing with confidence he's almost unplayable for defenders as wins most challenges even tho smaller, but also wins many free kicks for that reason. When on song he's great but if he misses a sitter or 2 as he's done many times, his confidence drops and finishing form as a result, that said his link play was always spot on and we played our best football last year when he was in the team.

No need to tinker with the away set up, it works very well, it's our home set up needs looking at

HH plays better off the bench...JB to start imo

I agree with this but another side of me says we need goals & Jay just doesn't look potent enough in front of goal at the minute.

Saying that though he has been superb the last 3 games so on that basis alone I can't see the line up changing (bar Traore).

Helguson looked more of a threat in fifteen minutes than Bothroyd has in four games. Not denying that Bothroyd is good at bringing others into play but the amount of chances he has wasted is criminal in any formation played.
15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

JB must come good soon, no CH likes playing against a big un . would like swp to be crossing to him not the other way round

HH won't, if selected, let us down thats for sure.
Helps concentrate the mind, and increase performance levels, when competition for starting places arises. All good for the club as a whole!

It's true, he wins so many free kicks around the area, but there is someone capable of putting them in the net. Unfortunately, Buzsaky cannot seem to get a game.

Shame we can't have the same system as American football, where they bring someone on specifically just to take the place kicks -- we'd have demolished Villa in the last 20 minutes without having to take anyone useful off the pitch.
If Buzz can't get a game, I'd trust NW to know that the ones who do play are more effective than him in some way.
                              Except at free kicks.
