Dyer only gets paid when he plays???? Don't make me laugh. That is not what a pay as you play deal is for a Premier League footballer.

It means that the bulk of their salary is related to appearances. He will still get paid a basic salary far more than most normal people get paid.

Warnock himself said he only gets paid if he's selected in the 1st team squad of 18. So, that could be as an unused sub also.


I guess he could be lying though.


Personally, I hope he does get fit and challenge for a game, and sooner rather than later.
But if he doesn't play by January, I can see him being released to free up a squad place for our new multimillion £ striker !

And I'm not convinced Mackie will last the January cull either ! Hope I'm wrong.

I agree re..Mackie, think another centre back and a front man could well be coming in January, and you would have to doubt whether Mackie could compete for a place, even on the bench.

In Jan think we will need a striker in the Hernandes mold (obviously not actually him) but someone who can hold the ball up, bring others into play but also be clinical in front of goal. Not writing Bothroyd off and think he has a future with us and has been a good addition to the squad but if we are to play with just one striker I fear we are going to need someone more clinical in Jan.

Is he still injured?
The injury he picked up at home to Bolton wasn't as serious as first thought and was only bruising and i thought it was said he would be back within a couple of weeks?
Or has he picked up a differant problem, that i haven't heard of?

The scan revealed a slight chip on the bone hence the longer recovery time.

Ok thanks, so he did brake his foot, i couldn't understand why he was down as long term with a bruise on the foot.

Just to put this arguement to bed there is no way NW would give him a squad number in his 25 if he wasnt going to play again for us. Talk about kick someone when he's down.

Can't prove it but wonder whether he would have been bought to the club if warnock thought the takeover definate? He came to us moaning about westham medical team 2 mins of playing he is out longterm after nothing more then a routine tackle , before that 4 years injured at newcastle , the guy has the lowest pain threshold in football and as such is a waste of a place in the squad, hopefully well ship him out in jan and replace him

Bit harsh that, if he has a broken foot. I know his injury record is woeful but the poor lad cant help having a broken foot, which is very easy to do , especially with the modern football boot, no bloody protection. if we could get him fit, big if, he would be a welcome addition imo.

Mate point is he'll spen 3 months getting fit from his broken foot come back pull a muscle/crack a rib/ pull a hamstring/ hurt his finger and be out again
I'm happy to bet £20 that he don't play more then 600 mins for rangers in the league this year
