cmon jay, answer us "critics"/fans and bang one or 2 in, asap....yes you are holding the ball up, getting in positions but now round it all off and score....cos if you don't , we'll have to look elsewhere...

notice how we perk up again when smith comes on? surely one of our best but on bench again....blaming poor refs is one issue, missing so many chances is another....WE WANT YOU TO DO WELL...but at this level, time is against you.

He looks like he is lacking a bit of confidence to me, not in his overall play but definitely in front of goal. He can be very static and easy to mark, needs to get those feet moving quicker and believe in his ability.

michael owen, 11 goals in 12 games...now fitness is an issue but he wants to play and is 5th choice at man utd...and on pay as you play
surely worth a bid in january...2 yr deal on a set wage, we won't get 38 games from him a season but if he gets 20 games he could score 10 or more goals?
many around squad can be outed to clear wages and then there's the shirt sales!

Can't beleive people are saying he should still continue to start games on other threads, when he has not created, been involved in the build upto or scored any goals in 6 games. He needs a break to re focus and find his touch in front of goal.

Yep, that's 6 League games, 7 including Rochdale he has played a part in and not contributed in any way to a goal, which is poor for a striker.

And you wonder why when fans on here cant wait to jump on his back despite his efort for the team? During Rooneys massive goal drought last year, Fergie stuck by him because he was still contributing to the teamin other ways than just goals, as is Jay now. Some fans cant wait to jump on players backs, lets support the side and not make scapegoats of players.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
