As others have said move the family stand and sell Loft Upper to those with a booking history.
????? I think you mean the Loft Lower, the upper is not the family stand and is not part of the ruling re kids. Move it though definately.

Bingo. To get bigger gates we need more "glory hunters" which also annoys everyone.

Wouldn't work as you'll get away teams sitting in the home ends and there'll just be trouble.

crowds have remained pretty static for last 20 seasons. 1 exception.

Below is a list of Championship matches with higher attendance.

            Brighton v Leeds attendabce 20,000
            Derby v Millwall 24,000
            Middlesbrough v Ipswich 17,000
            West Ham V Peterbrough 29,000
Yousef, the simple reason why those seats in PU Upper were empty is the fact they are Restricted view tickets and they do not go on sale over the web as they want to sell the higher price seats first.I have my S/T in that block and the next 5 seats from me are always empty for this reason

From where I was sitting the seats in upper loft didn't look like the restricted view ones a big chunk of them there. I sit in b block and as I look to the loft just on the left of the scoreboard were loads of seats , they are defo not restricted views

Also open up the tarpaulin covered seats in the school end, we'd sell them, other clubs with stands that hang over the home supporters don't restrict the seats. (It's the main reason they have given the **** the whole end as it makes the club more money).
What is everyones craze with moving the family section to the East Paddock? what would happen to my season ticket there?

Just make the section smaller in the lower loft say just half of it and the rest for general sale

having family stand in the loft did more for damaging the atmosphere than anything. The Loft should be the heart of our vocal support. As it is now - it is dead and any songs from Q and R etc can't travel because the kids sit in between.

I started going to games when I was 9; no way I'd have wanted my parents in tow??? I just don't get these "family stands" - don't mind half price seats for U16s but cordoning off whole sections for families is daft in our small stadium. Just let kids, adults, families buy tickets for wherever they want.

Fair play to those who can, but its unfair to say its a disgrace that we arent selling out.

Great posts indeed. I can summarise it as having 16,000 loyal fans is better than having 20,000 glory seekers at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge plus the issue of ticket prices and other expenses that many cannot afford. Fair play to all QPR fans who can afford and cannot afford. Cheers for everyone who have made the picture clear.

Build it and they will come. Our stadium is always 85% full and attendances have consistently been around 14k for years. Stop slating people for not paying 40 notes for a **** restricted view seat in the Loft. It's not worth it. A 30k stadium reasonably priced seats would see us on an attendance par with no Mark clubs like Hull and Brighton
