I would write a letter to the club explaining the arbitrary nature of you being kicked out when lots of others were standing, especially as you weren't obscuring anyone's view. I would say that you know it is against the rules, but that so many people are doing it 9as long as nobody else's view is restricted) you feel unfairly picked on. I wouldn't get all aggressive if you do write to them, or they will just see you as a chav.
    Good luck.

Say you had to stand up to see because everyone in front of you was standing obstructing your view & your little son who happens to be a dwarf was having his match day experience ruined.

      Simples.

Standing at football matches in the PL is prohibited. You simply can't have a pop at the stewards for enforcing the legislation which allows the stadium to be licenced.

If they let you stand, fine, but you can't have a pop when you get collared.

Saying, well, the Villa fans are standing is like saying to the copper who has pulled you over on the M4 for doing a ton "but mate, look how fast they are going." Irrelevant.

Join the FSF Safe Standing campaign to push for change, but in the meantime, stewards are correct and fans that persistently stand despite being warned not to are wrong (in the eyes of the law and stadium licencing requirements)

Yes. Supply additional height cushions/stilts as fashion dictates.

I wondered what all that was about. I sit a bit further forward than you. Those stewards are knobs.

                You can argue both ways.

The key thing IMHO is whether the stewards gave you a warning, or notice that you had to sit or you would be ejected. If they didn't then I do not think that is sensible or responsible stewarding.

I think we can at least expect that.

I think there needs to be an element of common sense applied in such situations. Yes, as Nodge has stated, it is against the rules to stand. But the stewards need to realise fans pay ALOT of money to watch their side and the rules shouldnt be enforced so Nazi-like.

Fair enough, if a steward has warned you a few times and told you its the rules, and you still continue to stand, being ejected is expected. But if it was 1st or 2nd time then thats totally uncalled for and bang out of order, just being a total jobsworth.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Did you have a blue top on mate and was about to go in the Blue and White bar when about 8 stewards surrounded you?

i used to stand in the back row of the x block for years, especially in the years when there would be very few people in the x block. i used to get thrown out regularily, i lasted 12 mins at the bradford game a few years ago. as much as it is law i reckon a little discretion could be applied, especially if youre not obscuring anyones view. funnily enough i ended up being banned from x, a & r block! I reckon one of the biggest problems there is at LR is the communication between stewards and fans, I resent the fact that stewards often think that they can treat you as they please which in turn helps the situation escalate. there used to be a fat peroxide blonde female supervisor and polish steward in the x block that used to cause all types of problems, on one occasion the police men witnessed the way the way the 2 stewards were treating me and said i would be within my rights to press charges against them. i think a lot more needs to be done about the stewards at LR, people skills should be a pre-requisite!

Stewards will not eject anyone first time but should ask politely for the fan to be seated. If the fan then persistently ignores this request, that's when ejections start.

They don't get away with it in SAR, there's uproar if they try, and they back off. But I have seen them scrutinising everybody at the the stairs exit after the game.
