loads of areas around Wigan as well, standish, leigh, chorley, Skelmersdale etc its not just fields oop north you know
I do take your main point though, you would think we would be selling out with the reduction and even more so with the increased quality of the team, and football is only a second sport in Wiganits New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

Cheer up lads! We all can support QPR the way we want, some people go every game, some can't but wish they could, and some save their money for the big games and there's nothing wrong with that at all! As long as you've been supporting QPR before we got promoted (or even before last season) you are officially a ranger!"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Unfortunately I cannot go for work reasons, but if any people are undecided on whether to go, then hopefully they do go because the owners deserve it after putting such a good product on the field for us to see. The best view is always in the crowd with the atmosphere.
These are special times and I'm sure noone will regret the money spent.

Some of the comments in this thread are quite insulting to many supporters. Gone are the days when most can shell out £150 a month for home football matches. Life has become a battle for survival these days for many who are struggling to pay the mortgage or rent, shell out for ever-increasing food and energy prices, and trying to give their kids the best life they can. Just because they can't get to as many games as they like, does this diminish their love of our club? Of course not.
I was made redundant from my job last year where I worked for 16 years. I used to go to plenty of games, home and away. It's taken me 11 months to find another job, despite being a university graduate. Unemployment has taught me that I should try and save some money in case it ever happens again. I've just got my Sky subscription switched back on where I can see some QPR games live, or match choice. I will try to get to as many games as possible this season, but if ever the choice is between paying my mortgage or going to football, I'm keeping a roof over my head.
I sat through the grim days of Harford and Francis MK II, home and away. I bought shares in the club. And just because I am more concerned with the harsh economic realities of life these days, does it make me less of a supporter?
I was at LR the day Joey Barton signed for us and found myself hanging around to find out what was going on with all the transfers. There were no more than half a dozen of us. Where was everyone? Probably at work trying to make a living.
It is unacceptable for some fans to berate others for not going to LR during a time of great economic hardship. What should we do? Sod the mortgage and go to football? Those who criticise should hang their heads in shame.
Even though I don't go as often as I'd like, no one will ever tell me I'm not a proper QPR fan.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I've been there since I was 6 years old year in year out, Grimsby away on a Tuesday night, Bury & Chesterfields away so to me I'm there whatever happens but I can't understand what more the owners can do to get people through the turnstiles.
Still done all that myself but have for personal reasons had to knock it on the head completely this season...wish to god i could go but at least there is now an extra ticket for someone else

16 years ago I was coming across r's fans who would have loved to gone to all the games but just could not afford it, in this present climate that number has increased much more. Distance keeps me from attending all the games, Villa wll be my first this season, why some people make an issue about it I don't knowI must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

Not once did I say anything about being a better fan, I also mentioned that if it's due to financial then that's a valid point. It's just the other excuses (re t&c, high prices, no players etc) that people used to use which are now removed that **** me off.Queens Park RangersNPower Champions 2010/2011
PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)
