Still a good player but doesn't suit our system.Bothroyds main job is to hold the ball up and feed SWP ,Adel or Joey.Whilst on the subject Bothroyd is brilliant at contolling the big boot out with his chest.

With Michael Owen it really is as simple as:

Give him service in the box and he will score you goals.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

He knows he hasn't got it in him to play every week anymore so is more than happy to play 10/11 games a season at Utd and be guaranteed of a medal of some sort.

He'll finish his career there is SAF allows him to.

Great talent, but he doesn't have the motivation to graft for a club like QPR IMHO.

He would rather sit on the bench at a big club, take his massive wages and have an easy life. He prefers horse racing to football nowdays.

He hardly made much effort to get fit at Newcastle and ditched them at the first opportunity after fleecing them for millions and playing about 5 minutes.

Tbf to him he played 71 PL games for them and scored 26 goals so, fleecing them for cash aside, he made a decent contribution on the pitch for the Geordies.

Ask a Newcastle fan what they think about him. He had a couple of spells of playing, but mainly he didn't Wikipedia doesn't tell you the whole story.

With the number of crosses put in by SWP and AT I would have thought Mr Owen would suit us, I'm sure he would have put two or three of JB's chances away vs Newcastle.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Yes he would, but he cant hold the ball up to bring others into play. I really do think that people have forgotten that DJ Campbell scored 13 PL goals last season and he is the fox in the box we need to finish the chances we create.

I agree, but it would be good to have back up for DJ. You could argue that Heidar is good cover for Bothroyd but we don't really have another DJ, so Owen would be perfect. Play JB first 60-70 mins and then DJ or Owen. Gives us another dimension for the last 20 mins or so.

He is more than happy to play at MUFC, play champions league football albeit the s hi t games, play all carling cup games and a handful of sub league appearences.

                          Big club, big money..

More chance of rocking horse s h i t than us signing him.

DO you seriously think Owen would sign then sit on the bench behind Jay Bothroyd and DJ Campbell???

                            What planet you on??
