Thats my problem, people will read your post and actually believe it. Can't do nothing about that. Over the years this forum has never banned anyone for talking about GP. And I suggest we've had more posts on the subject than anyone/anything in the clubs history.

You will find the personal attacks/insinuations on individuals who run this site or moderators are the reasons why people get banned. I suggest a quick look at your posts will show that and the reason why moderators have banned yourself and other people over a period of time.

Regarding moderating and racism etc going unnoticed, I appreciate what mods have said about posts sliping down the page and being missed however I am fairly sure that this mesageboard system allows posts to be emailed directly to admins and possibly mods. I do understand that there are sometimes quite a lot of posts but perhaps there is a scheduler (not sure about this bit) that would allow posts to be sent to different mods at different times of day

I have moderated and admined a number of forums and there is no way I could have been on the site to manage things all the time but handled things by checking emails and only logging into the site when there was something that needed dealing with

No, not telling you that a consensus was reached on that occasion, I would think it's pretty clear it couldn't have been.

And with respect, this sort of statement is exactly why arguments arise and you get to feel as if you are being singled out.

Pete very rarely bans anybody, if you have information to the contrary, then feel free to provide it. It's your opinion, but it is far from being true. He did ban you on this occasion though and as MYU said, for longer than originally intended by mistake, which was rectified.



Again, that is not what you were banned for, how many more times must it be stated? I did tell you the reason, although I also told you that I had not seen the actual post as it had been deleted. Furthermore, I also apologised to you in that very same PM, if you had mistakenly been accused of doing something you hadn't.

You are being very reasonable in trying to get the answer you are looking for, but I cannot give the answer you want without making something up as I did not actually see the post. And because of this, I really cannot see any point in attempting to prolong the discussion on that point, because we cannot get any further forward. I'll apologise now for not responding to future questions on that particular point and you can make of that what you will.

thanks for the reply Brighton but if you actually didnt see the post (no consensus and thread deleted by Petey boy during a strop) then you obviously cannot tell me why i was banned so i must assume i was banned for my last post which upset Pete about the rumour that Paladini gave Shittu a contract behind Warnocks back for his own personal gain.......posted a rumour and was banned because it was a rumour about Petey's m8.
Are QPR rumours no longer allowed? or just ones Petey makes up?

If so that is bad. All I would say having been a mod for a v short time is that it is a lose-lose position. You let things go because some insist it is just "banter" but then you are accused of condoning racism etc - or you ban it and you get accused of being some politically correct, fun-killing, lesbian Marxist. I can't stand racism or bullying but come down too tough and you are called a facist. You should try it - it ain't easy. I know its becoming popular to diss the mods but for the most part they all seem well meaning, decent minded folk doing this purely out of goodwil.
