I've been modding here for a couple of months now. Mods/admin are expected to implement the rules as best we can - rules which we didn't write but are only asked to carry out as part of the (voluntary) job. For me the clue is in the title - to keep things 'moderate' - I do try to be as even-handed and balanced as possible but its not always easy as I'm sure can be appreciated - similar to being a ref or a steward. Regarding it as some kind of power-trip certainly has no interest for me whatsoever.

Also people dont see what goes on behind the scenes here - posts get reported to staff because some find them offensive which we then have to deal with. So you can never please all of the people all of the time.

The irony is that this place isn't family friendly and has never set out to be. It's a messageboard built on lies. Lies that people are ITK and full of characters spouting off about their sources. It gives young kids hope that we may sign players we were never linked with. During the dark days of the summer we were spoon fed crap about how rosy everything was when it was far from that.
This is a rumour messageboard full of people wanting to be bigger than they are. It was set up to be a link between certain members of the club and the fans. He'll it got a manager sacked!
Family friendly. Your having a laugh. If I had kids I'd teach them not to lie, so i certainly wouldn't send them here.
Remember the whole fiasco where you had to pay to see a rumour that Pete has fabricated? How would a kid pay for that?

Agree with you mate. Come home from work and you don't want to read offensive racist stuff on a QPR forum. Lot of it is just from bitter people.
Top 10 legends would be Parker and Sir Les.
Often the abuse is when posters read an article in a paper often unfounded or worse still simply read another posters comments and generalised racism follows, like some knee jerk reaction.
Nothing to stop people from talking as they want in pubs/clubs etc but I agree why should we on the forum have to see it. The forums anonymous, people think they're hard because no one can see them but it's just sad. Imagine SWP has a
quick look on here or TF or one of the Mittal children, just makes us look like we are ******* from Norfolk
Being a R at the moment is great, TF, Mittals, SWP, Anton and Adel etc are taking us to a place that I for one would
never dream off, 40k stadium, guaranteed top flight football, getting top players in, no selling talent, refunds on ticket prices.
We all embraced the Mittals after the Leeds game and they loved it. Why support racism on this site? As mentioned make
comments about concerns about immigration if you wish but I've seen on here Adel referred to as a "bacon dodger",
because Mittals wouldn't buy out T and C someone said you can't trust Indians and also black fans were referred to as not proper supporters. I don't agree that you hear such things in pubs especially Rangers pubs but forums where
anonymity and personal failings cannot be detected allow such people to voice their drivel.
Lastly, it's not about political correctness, I would be ****** annoyed if someone stood up and made a racist remark about Adel or Mittals at HQ, why should it be ok on here? At the end of the day hate him or love him Cantona got it right at Palarse, ignorant people think they're funny but when they're confronted in person always bottle it, just embarrassing really.
