The rules work for us and we had over 200 members sign up in less then 24 hours 31st Aug.

As Quaz says we do have some people that swear and sometimes we do it when we've won a game or scored a goal that we didn't expect, its when some try to push it that we want to stop.

most people get by the swearing and are not pulled up about it, but some push it to the extreme, we have had quite a few where every other word is swearing, not acceptable.

So from your point of view Quaz do you want a "Family Friendly Board" with a low tolerance on swearing and name calling? Where posters are given year long bans etc? You comfortable with that?
I'm still waiting for a certain mod to get back to me about my last ban, i got banned for saying something that must have upset Pete as i was instabanned 30 secs after posting with the "REASON FOR BAN: BYE" no namecalling or abusing fellow posters just a Paladini rumour that obviously hit a nerve. My ban went from a month to a week to 24 hours which was a bit strange too. Thread was closed down soon after too surprise surprise.....think Petey reopened it when he calmed down

mate i will explain something now, i am all for banter, swearing is expected in society now, so allowances have to be made, which we do let stuff go when people get excited etc, its when it turns from banter to abuse i usually try and nip it in the bud.
I don't agree with year bans for petty stuff, but for more serious or a collection of things then yes.
And believe it or not we don't just ban on a whim, we have a staff section where it is discussed and voted on, not all voting goes against the posters, hence some of the ones who push boundaries are still here.

did i abuse anyone on the board?? cos im pretty sure i only abused his mate Paladini
so for future reference is abusing Paladini a bannable offence? Are rumours pertaining to Paladini and his actions allowed to be posted and discussed?

If you are referring to me, I did get back to you. You then sent me a very nice reply and I responded to that also. Quite happy to PM you copies of all those exchanges if you have deleted them by mistake.

Can you really not remember what you might have said, when it led to the outcome it did? Bit odd that.

As for your question about abusing GP, well that would very much depend on what the content was. If you really want to, you can start a thread every day saying that you don't like him, think he has been bad for the club etc. We have stated on umpteen occasions now, that nobody has ever been banned for either starting threads or having opinions. Just don't be surprised if people question as to why you have started another one, rather than add any new or valid comments to an existing one. Really no point in having them all over the place. If however, such posts contain blatant lies or spread untruthful assumptions about any individual, then yes, points will almost inevitably follow, but you will of course have no need to post such things, unless there is something wrong with you.

I assume that is clear enough, but as Quaz said earlier, feel free to ask any of us anything. We have no reason to hide a thing.

Just one sad problem and that is that warning bans. poujnts etc are not given out with any consistancy. Very much a case of if you're face fits IMO.
ive seen 2 people "argue" and both abuse each other, yet only 1 get a warning....
Getting a bit like watching football really...referee's cant get it right and neither can some others it appears.

That is a fair point.

One that I have made behind closed doors so to speak.

End of the day its hard to run a messageboard. You might end up scrutinising certain posters more than others. Guess thats human nature if you have a problem with that person.

One thing I do try and avoid is cliques as I think that happens too much elsewhere and can leave posters isolated.

Agree with you mate. Come home from work and you don't want to read offensive racist stuff on a QPR forum. Lot of it is just from bitter people.
Top 10 legends would be Parker and Sir Les.
Often the abuse is when posters read an article in a paper often unfounded or worse still simply read another posters comments and generalised racism follows, like some knee jerk reaction.
Nothing to stop people from talking as they want in pubs/clubs etc but I agree why should we on the forum have to see it. The forums anonymous, people think they're hard because no one can see them but it's just sad. Imagine SWP has a
quick look on here or TF or one of the Mittal children, just makes us look like we are ******* from Norfolk
Being a R at the moment is great, TF, Mittals, SWP, Anton and Adel etc are taking us to a place that I for one would
never dream off, 40k stadium, guaranteed top flight football, getting top players in, no selling talent, refunds on ticket prices.
We all embraced the Mittals after the Leeds game and they loved it. Why support racism on this site? As mentioned make
comments about concerns about immigration if you wish but I've seen on here Adel referred to as a "bacon dodger",
because Mittals wouldn't buy out T and C someone said you can't trust Indians and also black fans were referred to as not proper supporters. I don't agree that you hear such things in pubs especially Rangers pubs but forums where
anonymity and personal failings cannot be detected allow such people to voice their drivel.
Lastly, it's not about political correctness, I would be ****** annoyed if someone stood up and made a racist remark about Adel or Mittals at HQ, why should it be ok on here? At the end of the day hate him or love him Cantona got it right at Palarse, ignorant people think they're funny but when they're confronted in person always bottle it, just embarrassing really.

Like i said earlier i was banned within a few seconds of posting so are you telling me that a consensus was reached with all mods in that time or was the button pushed on the whim of one man who cant win any arguments?
the fact is m8 when Pete see's something in a post he doesnt like or doesnt agree with he hits the ban button, most of you Mods do a fantastic job of moderating on here but you are impeded by Pete when he sticks his nose in. Actually its a bit like QPR used to be with Paladini sticking his oar in every so often and ****ing up see the similarity?
