That 'WATRB moderation' post

95% of posters don't have an infraction point and probably don't even know what one is. All in all we have 5% of our posters that have either had an infraction point or been banned.
I've always wondered why a poster would simply come on and have a go, at the way this forum was being run? Yet still post or view?
We've got posters who probably get a kick out of the whole set up and when they are banned find allsorts of ways to come back on or email on why they have be banned.
if my daughter asked me to watch a programme on nail filing or ear piercing, I wouldn't bother. It begs the question why feel the need to post the same old drivel on a board you clearly don't like. Could it be, that you do like it but want to stand out in the crowd? I've given up second guessing, but the fact those posters keep coming back says it all
I have one moderator who I did not get on with years ago and he probably felt I was a complete tosspot (some people still do), but the fact remains we respect each other's views and just get on with it. Life is too short.
You can see from the posters on this thread the ones who just love it and if they can throw in a dig all the better. The ones that have been banned come back at the first opportunity or go elswhere to vent frustrations about being banned, yet email us and ask to be put back on.
Which means despite our faults, on the whole supporters enjoy the experience of posting on this site and despite some wanting to swear the night away and get personal, by not allowing it we have a popular forum used by a great number of QPR fans.ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

Therefore, none of you are ever likely to be subject to this so called heavy handed moderation, that it appears from where I'm sitting, only seems to affect a very small number of people, which coincidentally, always appears to be the same ones. Strange, that. Or am I being unfair?

Top 10 legends would be Parker and Sir Les.
Often the abuse is when posters read an article in a paper often unfounded or worse still simply read another posters comments and generalised racism follows, like some knee jerk reaction.
Nothing to stop people from talking as they want in pubs/clubs etc but I agree why should we on the forum have to see it. The forums anonymous, people think they're hard because no one can see them but it's just sad. Imagine SWP has a
quick look on here or TF or one of the Mittal children, just makes us look like we are ******* from Norfolk
Being a R at the moment is great, TF, Mittals, SWP, Anton and Adel etc are taking us to a place that I for one would
never dream off, 40k stadium, guaranteed top flight football, getting top players in, no selling talent, refunds on ticket prices.
We all embraced the Mittals after the Leeds game and they loved it. Why support racism on this site? As mentioned make
comments about concerns about immigration if you wish but I've seen on here Adel referred to as a "bacon dodger",
because Mittals wouldn't buy out T and C someone said you can't trust Indians and also black fans were referred to as not proper supporters. I don't agree that you hear such things in pubs especially Rangers pubs but forums where
anonymity and personal failings cannot be detected allow such people to voice their drivel.
Lastly, it's not about political correctness, I would be ****** annoyed if someone stood up and made a racist remark about Adel or Mittals at HQ, why should it be ok on here? At the end of the day hate him or love him Cantona got it right at Palarse, ignorant people think they're funny but when they're confronted in person always bottle it, just embarrassing really.Last edited by TBLOCKRANGER; 20-09-2011, 11:12 PM.

i love the way mods get slated for doing a job, yet people still find the time to report posts and expect as to act against the things they are now saying should be allowed.
I know alot of posters like banter etc, but some push it too far, i usually try and edit posts before points are issued and some are thankful for it, but others decide to give you a label, which is quite amusing.
So far i have had nazi, internet police, sheriff and the new one is the most aggresive & abusive mod....which is funny because i post the same now as i did as a normal member and nothing was said, at least it takes the heat off kirill

Never had an infraction point but will try to answer the above at least from my own perspective although i understand my motives for posting are probably different from some others
The reason I originally joined the board and started posting was to put across a point of view that was different from that of some original posters, primarily regarding how the club was being run at board and senior management level. I didnt and still dont start posts on these issues but I do put in my opinion if I disagree with what has been posted.
I stuck around because I felt a balance was required and I also enjoyed the football related threads and other general discussions which on occasion have been the best threads of all.
There will always be disagreement on messageboards its in their nature and debate should be encouraged not stiffled. To be honest I dont have much of an issue with the moderators notice, There is no need for people to abuse each other online and if swearing is discouraged so be it although i think its a bit draconian in this day and age and the filters do a good enough job on this anyway
what shouldnt be within the realm of moderation is to shut threads down just because they go against a particular point of view or are a regurgitation of a previously discussed point that mods or admins dont approve of or dont want discussed. if it has anything to do with QPR then it should be on the tableits New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

To be fair I've had points before for laying into a couple of pr!cks who got / get on my wick to this day.
But as Brighton mentioned I just like to have a good footy chat, talk about the R's & sling in a bit of humour now & again to keep things nice and all is good.
Some people do need a good tongue lashing now & again though I can't lie
