Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy hits back at Joey Barton over Twitter r
I actually really like mick. He is very down 2 earth and straight talking. He made no excuses and admitted we were the better team, that on it's own is allot more than the moaning managers that love 2 whinge and make excuses like steve bruce and wenger. Also he used 2 clean neils boots and doesn't have an ego. I think neil and mick have respect 4 each other and I can think of so many managers that r far more annoying
.............. furious row, during which Keane told McCarthy. "Mick, you're a liar... you're a f*****g w@?"*+r. I didn't rate you as a player, I don't rate you as a manager, and I don't rate you as a person. You're a f%+#[*g w**"{€# and you can stick your World Cup up your a***. The only reason I have any dealings with you is that somehow you are the manager of my country! You can stick it up your b'"***cks."

Keano & Triggs - classic duo
If anybody cares to watch the drop ball close to the end of the game and watch Henry's unconventional style to try and win the ball, then if that is not trying to deliberately injure a fellow professional then I don't know what is. McCarthy is anachronistic in every way, including his approach towards the beautiful game.

first let me commend you on your use of the word anachronistic... deffo a throw back to a bygone age where players like JACK Charlton and Chopper Harris would go out and kick lumps out of each other...
The reason why McCarthy is so vehement in his defence of KH is because he is able to empathise and identify totally with, someone of limited ability who has grafted and reached the top level through being a tough tackler and the teams nasty edge.....:yush:
it's about time we stopped being everyones 2nd favourite team and started showing a bit of arrogance..
McCarthy is an ugly pleb and we gave his team a football lesson..
Barton wasn't the one playing dirty but he had the last laugh!
When you think of midfield enforcers of the game the names like Souness and Keane spring to mind not Kelvin f0cking Henry.
And he's never ever gone out to try to hurt anyone? Really Mick, are you sure? Ask the Wigan player he nearly chopped in half last year, ask Bobby Zamora? And didnt he try to hurt Joey Barton last year vs Newcastle?
