  • QPR v Blackpool

Comparing to how Blackpool were doing last year after 5 games.

Both clubs played 5, won 2, draw 1, lost 2 with 7 points.

Blackpool went down and this could be a good reference point for us.

Their squad was nowhere near as good as ours is now. They far exceded everyones expectations for the first few months but then they didnt have the depth of squad to keep going. If we'd had our curent squad for the first three games im pretty sure we would have even more points than we do now.
Blackpool imploded and were relegated, we won't and won't be...trust me!
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

    2015/2016, average at best.....

    2016/2017, same old, same old....

    2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

thats why im glad we have neil warnock, keith curle etc.. they wont let us implode and if we have to we shall fight for our safety. i felt ollie was too respectful to teams and should have been working on adding to his defence. having evatt as your main defender is only asking for trouble.

I would be more interested in knowing how many clean sheets Blackpool kept. I think with three we've probably managed more than they did all last season. If we continue to defend well, we'll stay up.

I think they kept 6 all season.... fingers crossed we can beat that seeing as we have 3 already!

be interesting to know who they got theirs against.

one could argue we've kept clean sheets against 3 teams who havent got prolific goalscorers.

Wigan was in fact away - they had to switch because their ground wasn't ready and won 4-0 there!

WBA managed 2 clean sheets all last season.
                      Finished 11th.

Bolton had 2 away wins all season.
                      Finished 14th.

Funny old table last year in the PL.

                        True.

Suppose you can make stats say anything you want them to really!

Thought you was recollecting to the 5-1 beating we gave them back in 82, 4 th round FA cup replay when allen got 4. I remember cutting the back page out of the paper and sticking it on the inside of my desk.. Anyway stats are good keep them coming.

the difference is they were sh1t. I always said they would go down even when they were doing well.

I hated all the "breath of fresh air" rubbish. "breath of sh1t" more like. And I don't care that it was Holloway.
