Majority of grounds do this to separate the home fans from the away fans if they're all in one end/stand.

        Disabled fans sat behind it.

Allowed them to see if people stood up in front of them.

My dad's in a wheelchair, and it's a major problem at grounds where the wheelchair platform is halfway back -- Reading is one of the worst.
At least Wolves did this, otherwise the fans in wheelchairs wouldn't see a thing when people get excited and get to their feet. Something the likes of my dad can't do.

Fulham will pose the same problem I believe -- and they don't prevent people from sitting right in front of the platform, nor from standing, so I don't suppose my dad will see very much of that game at all.

I can understand why they did it, but why do both sections? The lower section would not have impeded the eye line of our disabled fans. Wolves are losing out on a lot of money.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

That's so bizarre I can barely believe it! Is there a reason why they don't make wheelchair spaces at the front?

Why is it bizarre? Pitchside views aren't the best if you're low down anyway, and you get soaking wet as you can't get back under cover -- even the covered stadia don't protect you if it rains.
The best platform are the ones at place like Derby and Coventry -- near but not at the front, elevated, but with no seats in front so the view is fine.
I can't believe that anyone resents the fact that our wheelchair fans just want to see the game like everyone else.

I think you've missed my point ... Which was why don't they make it easier for wheelchair fans to watch a game (hence my question about being able to sit at the front - which you answered)
