  • Bought one for myself and two for my boys.We only get to see about 12 home games and a few away games(oh Scunthorpe) a season due to work commitments. To be honest
would not normally have joined. But if TF says a mistake has been made then I owe him more than the two £3.50 charges for what he has done for us .

    • Just checked in my online bank and my credit card has now been CHARGED (was only reserved on Sunday), the sum being GBP 10.50, comprising the infamous booking fee + European Postage. So they had better send me the pack now or I will throw a major hissy fit.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

      • If you go into a shop, and pick up a shirt labelled £10, go to the checkout and they say ''sorry sir, this has been priced wrong it should be £20'' they are obliged to sell it to you at the £10 as marked.

Similarly, if you see a 'complimentry promotion' offering free membership and get a confirmation email and the booking fee is deducted, that is a contract. and very difficult to legally reverse I would have thought.

Am I stirring, or is there some truth in this?

        • At the end of the day, it was their choice once the mistake was discovered and the free option removed.
They decided to charge for the transaction (booking and postage), so now they had better come up with the goods.

Actually a very valid point that no one has picked up on. Well said and not stirring just stating some facts.

I'd imagine they will charge everyone the 3.5 and in some cases 10.5 for outside the uk. Seems like a nice little earner
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Actually I don't think they are.

                No they're not.

It's called an "invitation to treat" in 'legal-ese' and does not confer any legal guarantee on a fixed price.

                • Clearly a genuine mistake was made and quickly rectified. Fully protected by the sale of goods act.
What I am happiest about is the fact that it was clearly a genuine mistake whereas if it had happened under the previous regime I would have supported any attempts by anyone to profit from the incompetence of others

                  • Through the error basically ive paid £3.50 for the priviledge of getting the bburn tickets i needed early, thats fine by me.
Should this 'complimentary offer' appear again i would do the same.

                        This.

Very common misconception though. Years ago when I was a student and working in retail when this used to happen it used to be a regular occurrence to have the customer tell the manager they had to give it to them at the lower price.

Maybe they will at least send the packs to fans outside UK as we had to pay hefty postage...

                            • I can't see them sending out packs. They have realised there mistake but they aren't to bothered about talking the money off the cards. I'd imagine it's quite a few 3.50's. I for one can't be asked as it's to much hassle but I think your have to email the club regarding the 10.5 which must be in estonia about 20,000 krun
