  • How many times do you reckon you have seen QPR play?

    Not a **** waving contest but I was wondering how many QPR games people have been to their lifetimes Home and Away and Cup games etc?

    I was trying to add them up last night and in my forty years or so I reckon I have been to roughly 950-1120 games plus maybe 50 non QPR games and about 70 England games home and away

    Sometimes wish I had picked a cheaper hobby

    That aint half bad ya know! Being the bizmo that I am, worked out that equates to a minimum (going by lowest game estimate you made) of nearly 67 days worth watching live football ..... Touche Isleworth

        But in answer to your OP;

        I barely missed a home game between ages of 8 and 16, plus did a fair few aways (at last count had been to 42 grounds) and so i estimate between those years approx 250, then in the years since had to give up ST (various reasons including needing a part time job to pay me way through college) ive probably averaged 10-15 games a season home and away so another 60odd, plus a few non-QPR games, say 20 of those.... I reckon between 300 and 350 for me.

            hardly missed a game during the 70's 80.s and 90's so its around that figure nearer 1500 tho!

              Isleworth, question: When we were in League 1 and didn't get international breaks off did you you go to QPR games or England games then?

                  To be honest I dont remember having the dilemma though I think it would be a close call these days on what to do

                    I'm 35 and been supporting QPR since I was 8, so since 1984. I have had a ST about 5 times, all in lower division with 23 home games plus about a third away in those seasons. The other 22 seasons I reckon I have been to on average 12 home games and 4 away. So rough total is just over 500. I have been to the old Wembley once 2-2 vs Holland when we were 2-0 up at HT (Van Basten and Gullit scored second half circa 1987 - Anyone else remember this one?) and went to new wembley a year ago in a dull 0-0 against Montenegro...

                      In my case it can't be far short of 3,000 games over 60 years of uninterupted support from the old 3rd Div to 3rd DIv Sth back to 3rd Div with the formation of 4th Div.Then 2nd Div,old 1st Div and so on.Plus a few away games each season and the occasional cup games.Blimey,I could have bought another house with the money I've spent following those famous blue and white hoops.

                        Oh and I have been to see the following games not involving QPR:

                        Watford vs Sheff Weds
                        Sheff weds vs watford (replay when Di canio was sent off and sheff wed won on pens)
                        West Brom vs Chelsea (March 2006 - we were on way to manc to see calzaghe beat lacey and sat in baggies end. My 60 year old dad then wore his QPR scarf and a few baggies thought we were chel****mers until we calmed them down...**** won 1-2)
                        Fulham vs wolfsburg - free tic
                        watford vs blackpool - free tic

                            That is extremely impressive

                            Actually thinking about it I reckon I could add another 400 games on my total as I have done an average of about 35 games a year for about 15 years and about 40 plus for the last 15 or so
