"Torres is currently finished and will go down as Shevchenko Mk11, but no one has the guts to drop him as the emperor paid £50m for him and Rooney was shite last year and yes Ferguson did drop him, then he found his form again.

I would play Sturridge instead of Drogba all day long and Suarez has scored 2 league goals so far this season so why drop him ?"

Torres may well be NOW, but Im saying last year when he went a few games without scoring, he didnt get instantly dropped did he? If Bothroyd goes as far as Torres has then yes, drop him clearly, but Im simply saying were really jumping the gun here with the whole drop Bothroyd malarkey.

And i commented about dropping Suarez because of his miss Saturday (as you said). Agreed, i wouldnt drop him. But i was going by what you said about Both needing dropping due to his miss Monday, so used Suarez as an example of how ridiculous it is to call for somebody to be dropped after a miss. It happens.

I dont think anyone can say a lot of our chances came from Adel's talent and ability and also JB's hold up play which was excellent.
DJ wouldnt have the hold up play of JB, so do we go for a sniffer or someone who fits the system..
Anyway Paul after your Danny Graham prediction that he would be the absolute ideal man to fit our system, and his miss against Arsenal, you'd be in a right pickle...

Also matty's argument is flawed as WR and FT are proven world class goalscorers and Bothroyd isn't. You have to earn the right to be hard to drop.
Im not saying theyre arent proven world class goalscorers, but nobody said "if you dont take your chances you get dropped.... UNLESS youre a world class proven scorer" did they?

We are getting off track here, I'm simpley saying its way too early for Bothroyd to be dropped and that, changes aside Monday, he playd bl00dy well IMO.

Was DG's miss against Arsenal any different / harder to miss than JB's against Newcastle ?

Also, I would have a DJ Campbell or a Kevin Phillips type sniffer as a striker, playing on the shoulder of the last defender, over a striker who holds the ball up well with his back to goal.

I don't think he played badly either - but I also don't think he is getting a hard time. People have drawn attention to the fact he missed his chances thats all and mentioned that NW wants another striker - which he does.

Bothroyd did play well against Newcastle and on another day, he could of have had a hatrick. This does not mean things can not be changed to give DJ who is a proven Premier League goal scorer a go to stake his claim. I could understand it if it was Hulse, Pat of Helguson as Bothroyd's replacement.

My point is that our game is about having a hold up player and JB is bettee than HH or DJ at that.
I would like to see DJ have a game, but maybe as a sub..

If we drop Bothroyd cause he didn't score, and play DJ, and then Dj misses a sitter, what do we do then?
A blog of my first season ticket, and QPR's return to the Premiership after 15 years

Think what the other night showed is Bothroyd gets into good position, creates havock and holds the ball up well - what we need is either Adel or SWP running in close behind him to get more knock downs and maybe sweep in that scrappy goal that we badly need.

id have dj starting i rate bothroyd, and i hope im wrong, but i just dont think we have the quality to win enough prem games playing with a lone "hold up" striker. Whereas, if we played like we did on monday with another pacey attacking player upfront with proven premier leauge experiance i think we could really get some results

We played well because we controlled the midfield. With another striker we would not have created all those chances as IMHO
