I would like him to start next match instead of Bothroyd who perhaps need time to adapt himself to the PL.

Warnock made a mistake there letting Campbell till the last 10mins, he could got at least 20mins as Bothroyd missed many chances in the first half.

Warnock is also learning about his new-look side so I hope he can figure out the best starting 11 against Wolves.

Different types of players, one up front then needs to be bothroyd.. Imo

not so sure to be honest yousef. i thought, despite the misses, bothroyd was very good. it just wasnt his night. on any other day he would have had a hattrick before half time. keep the same squad for wolves. none of them deserve to be dropped after that incredible performance, and despite a few errors, i include gabbidon in that.

With the system we play we cannot play Dj up top on his own. People seem to ignore the amount of link up play Bothroyd done last night, the amount of time he brought thw ball down on his chest, heldoff a defneder, laid it to Adel/Joey/SWP/ALi/etc, span off and got into the box.

I love DJ and hes a goalscorer btu in our system he cant play a lone striker.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

                  Bang on.

It amazes me that some people don't see the bigger picture sometimes. Yes DJ may have tucked a chance away but without Bothroyd winning the first ball (which he did all night long, i don't think he lost an aerial challenge at all) the attack would have ground to a halt and we wouldn't have created those chances in the first place.

We are raving about Taraabt, SWP, Faurlin etc, but without Bothroyd winning the ball and feeding them constantly, they wouldn't have been given the opportunity to shine.

All that was missing from Bothroyd's game, was a goal!

I disagree. We play 4-3-3 more than we play 4-5-1. SWP and Taarabt played relatively free roles last night rather than acting as orthodox wingers, I think Warnock intends for Traore and Young to provide some width. Blackpool managed plenty of goals with Campbell playing as the centre forward in a 4-3-3 last season.

Oh and say what you will about Bothroyd, but if his finishing is that woeful against Wolves, I couldn't care less that he holds the ball up well. Taarabt's a decent finisher but SWP can't be relied upon to score goals.

What a cracking night... Should of won last night but I was really proud of all the lads.

I agree you mate, I would like to see DJ start on sat and really hope he does, DJ have proven himself in the premier league with Blackpool.

I just felt the last 10 min of the game DJ did not really change the game given the lads were getting tried toward the end.

Has DJ started in the 1st half I just feel he would of put away the chances that Bothroyd missed!

I don't buy that rubbish DJ can't play up front on his own... He not has a chance to prove us he can or can't!

Bothroyd will come good, not much wrong with his game last night other than not scoring

yeah agreed, dj would have been more a goal threat but without linkup play that bothroyd offered we wouldnt have had swp or adel in those positions.
