No trouble from Adel at all, think people give him a hard time.

1st half he was by far and away the best player on the pitch. Newcastle simply couldn't cope with his genius.

Really well done to Adel. I know this shouldn't be said but he didn't moan at all and put in his first class act of the season. Massive credit to himself
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

before that game his brother told us that the PL will start next monday for adel. so he does... better performance tonight. he must be trained so well during international duty... plus I told you that Ramadan had an impact on his performance in the first games.

Looks like Adel has not only has shed his weight, he has also shed his me, me, me attitude and what a superb performance from him last night. No dummies spat or toys thrown out the pram as some had suggested on here because he was not captain, just a rock solid performance. Even the odd corner or free kick was quality.

I have a sneaky feeling Joey Barton will get the best out of Adel and Adel will do what he is told and just get on with it.

Very good post Paul. I agree, it seems Adel has taken the whole situation well and not gone with the "stroppy" approach alot of us (me included) thought he would.

Seems to be showing a maturer side and digging in to prove his worth. And boy what a player he looked at time! Consistant performances like that and he'll chip in with a fair share of goals and (especially) assists, thats for sure.

For me Adel was like a new signing he was fantastic, maybe that armband was too much for him to bear now he is free to show what he is capable of.

Once again - fantastic man-management by Neil, taking him to one side last week and having a word, explaining that we've moved on and needed a true leader on the pitch, which Adel completely understood and took very well.

Barton and Adel were smiling and chatting - there is clearly no problem at all.

I sometimes feel that some of our fans want there to be with Adel so they can have a pop.

The right decision in my opinion . We need leadership and passion on the pitch !

He'll be in need of a big pram tonight, with plenty of toys.

He doesn't need to be captain. He needs to prove he can play in the prem! he is no longer top dog!
Because I can't select multiple threads from people as quotes BOZO!

yes mate.. about barton he was disappointing yesterday, his performance was poor and looks tired with no legs. most of the time he was completely lost, didnt know his position of play. even derry told him just go when he was chatting with referee about his yellow card! I dnt understand all the hype about this player, I ve seen him play many times , nothing special apart from troubles.

the other new signing were great except gabidon who gave the ball in dangerous areas.

I think his wife might play a part too. I also think he will drop all strops now, or will be here forever as no club will risk him.

Yea he was shattered wasnt he. Could barely keep up with the pace of the game and in the 2nd half he had no energy left.
